| 1984 Z28 5.0 HO. It was meant as a project for me and my son but it quickly turned into my project. I kept the original L69 motor. Thinking about going to a set of shorties but kept the original exhaust manifolds for now. They're piped into a 3" tube to a flowmaster. That also made an improvement. I swapped out the single cooling fan for a double set. I installed a rebuilt WC T5 and put a Hearst shifter on top. This car came with the Z06 delux interior with a Lear/Seigler driver's seat. I reupholstered the interior and was only able to save the "Camaro" fabric for the door panels. I swapped in a NOS 140 MPH speedometer, new leather wrapped steering wheel, carpet, Just about everything that could be replaced was. For the suspension I bought a rebuilt quick-ratio Z steering box, put on a wonderbar, subframe connectors, tubular rear trailing arms and panhard bar. I put on a set of KYB adjustable struts and KYB shocks. Next comes a set of lowering springs and rims. The paint is new, but origional color rpo code 27 two stage clear coat. |
