spills's 89 Chevrolet Camaro RS, Vortec 383
This car was actually an impulse buy. Ive always drove 4 cylinder cars, and yes some even slightly riced out. A friend of mine was selling this. I saw him one night, he told me about, and all I heard was V8, 5spd, $500. Got the money that night and drove it home. LO3 to begin with, still kickin. Another friend of mine gave me a 1pc 4 bolt non-roller block, free of charge. I took it to my garage and pulled off the oil pan. This was the first time I had ever even see a crankshaft or rods for that matter. This was the first motor I have ever built, I mean before I got this car I didnt know know what an exhaust valve was! Now, its a built, slightly-forged 383 stroker that puuuuuurs. I work at a Chevy dealer, and just about 90% of the techs that I work with said that it would never run. You should have seen the looks on their faces when I came pulling up from lunch one day with the new motor!

See my sig for the specs on the motor. Im trying to save up some money for now so its been put on hold for a month. The motor has been runnin since late summer '05 and I still havent taken it to the strip!
