krisb410's 1991 Chevy Camaro RS
I bought this 91 LO3 700R4 with 145,xxx miles back in Feb of 05. I work at a Chevy dealership and someone traded it in for $800, so I offered $1100 and they sold it to me. It was in pretty good shape. I had the state inspector at work do the inspection and he charged me $25. It took about $300 to pass MD inspection, (it needed inner & outer tie rod ends, trans mount, headlight bulb, 1 taillight bulb, and a dash bulb). It had brand new tires and wheels on it, and the paint was relatively new (maybe a year?). I was told it had the engine rebuilt at 125,000 miles, but I don't know. It needed a good inside cleaning, but now it looks good. I had to put a new fuel pump in it soon after I bought it, (took me and one of the techs like 6 hours). I gave her a tune up, new brakes all around, and some other misc things, like the headliner recovered and replaced the dash pad.

None of my current friends understand why I bought the Camaro. It looks like the same car I wanted when I was in high school, red w/ t-tops, Always dreamed of having one. I really didn't know much about working on cars when I bought her. But thanks to TGO and all the guys who have been teaching me so much. She is now really starting to come together.

Mods so Far:
European Headlight Housings: European H4 housing set for the outer pair, and European H1 housing set for the inner pair
Dual Beam H4 6000K HIDs
H1 6000K HIDs
Clear front turn/park lights with Silverstar bulbs
4th Gen seats
All LED dash (amber) and interior lights including the rear view mirror "map lights" (white)
Custom LED 3rd brake light
I swapped the standard dome light with the dome light/maplights unit (all white LEDs as well) I just don't like the overhead console, but I wanted something "different" there.
White Faced 145 MPH 92 Z28 Gauge
Autometer dual gauge pod with Phantom Air/Fuel and Trans temp gauges
Firebird HVAC Panel
Viper Alarm (ESP 600) w/ Power Window Automation (530T) and hatch release
Alpine CDA-7894, Alpine MRV-F307 4 channel amp, MB Quart 4in, Boston Acoustic 6x9s, Alpine MRP-M450 and 2 Alpine 10" Subwoofers in a custom box that fits in the rear well.

Quick Ratio Steering Box
Moog Lower ball joints/tie rods/idler arm/center link
Flat Base Open Element w/ K&N
3" Stainless Steel Borla Catback (electric cutout soon)
High Flow Cat
02 LS1 aluminum driveshaft
2.73 to 3.42 Rear Swap
A.I.R. Pump Removed
4th Gen washer fluid tank
Black anodized aluminum emblems that I clear coated
Chrome Corvette ZR1 rims, 17" x 9.5", Kuhmo ECSTA Supra, 285/40s out back, 275/40s up front

As you can tell I'm currently concentrating on the suspension and chassis. I figure I should make the car handle first. Then start on the drive train. I would like to replace all the carpet. Fix up the tranny, interior, motor, then some paint/body work. Somewhere in there will be big brake upgrades as well.

Underway:
82 Z28 Factory SMC (fiberglass) hood, (I found one in a junk yard, $40), getting prepped and painted!!!

Next Project: (to be installed as soon as weather/time permits)
4th gen 3.23 LT1 Posi/disk rear with LS1 brakes
Aluminum front bumper from an 84 Z28
4th gen Coolant overflow tank
SLP 1 3/4" Shorties with 3" Y pipe

Then:
I have a 350 LO5 motor to rebuild, not sure yet of what I'm gonna do with it
Rebuilt 700R4 with Probuilt Automatic's custom Transgo shift kit with all the goodies

After all that's done:
Either new carpet and door panels, or High rise spoiler.

If you have any suggestions, please let me know!
