| Stock 2.8 MPFI V6 & 5 spd, transmission The car had been sitting in the driveway for quite a while, so i went up to the guy's door & asked if it was for sale, he told me he'd been thinking about it, needless to say i talked him into it & rode home in my 'new' car, even with the doors rattling & the exhaust loud as hell (no door panels & the muffler was shot to ****) it was really cool to finally have a running & driving 3rdgen Firebird.... When i got home i started putting the car back together the best i could using the parts that the guy had in the trunk & some parts i had from my old cars, i've also made a few modifications. Repairs: door panels put back on, shredded front seats replaced, replaced dashpad, a couple of taillight bulbs replaced, replaced the muffler, some minor work on the exhaust, new trans mount, new thermostat, new coil, functioning security shade put in (original wouldn't unroll) Modifications: '82 Trans Am nose, 'power buldge' hood, tinted taillights, rear bumper, centerconsole, steering wheel, 'Trans Am' map pocket, PMD seats, Camaro shiftball, gauge bezel customized using '83 parts, Pioneer cd player & Eclipse 6x9 speakers, Planned: new tires, new brakes, a tune-up, interior swap, replacing nose vents, rust repair & a paintjob, Short list of factory options: AU3 - Power Locks A31 - Power Windows AO1 - Tinted Windows CC1- T-Tops DK6 - Roof Console D42 - Security Shade D80 - Rear Spoiler J50 - Power Brakes N24 - 15x7 Aluminum Rims N33 - Tilt Column WS3 - Performance Package #2 Y99 - Rally tuned suspension the pics are slightly enhanced poloroid scans taken 11-5-06, |
