| My first car. I beat her up so badly that selling her didn't seem profitable enough... so... tinker toy! 700R4 -> T5 swap Idiot Light -> Gauge Cluster swap Ultra-low-budget homebrew turbocharged 3.4l engine being pulled from parts car shortly. It's getting new head gaskets and a high volume oil pump, and being tossed straight in. 2.8 flywheel is getting neutrally balanced and slightly lightened and going on the 3.4. T5 is getting new input/output seals before it goes back in. New exhaust from the heads to the cat will be my next order of business, with new charged intake piping shortly thereafter. Once the turbo kit itself is finished, I've got to finish revamping the fuel management, then start from total scratch on suspension/chassis work... during this time she *may* find herself transferred to a 91-92 bird rolling chassis. In about a year I plan to remove the 3.4 again (or invest in a spare) and build it for more serious boost 8:1 forged dished pistons via Ross, aluminum rods, new bearings, a boost in oil pressure, V8 T5. |
