| I bought this "wreck" on a trade. It was pretty rough for real....Clearcoat peeling out, some paint completely sun faded, even to rust..interior was tore to shreds (still is but you cant hardly tell anymore)...Wheels were actually yellowed from neglect...car hadnt been waxed in prolly 5 years and just sat outsid egetting pounded with weather. But, it had 50,000 miles on it, decent running LG4 that needed basic tune up parts to run better. but i couldnt leave it at just that...no...so here's the mods so far: Outside: 1987 TRANS AM Body Kit 1987 Trans AM "Heat Extractor" Hood Fresh paint on the outside Under The Hood: Edelbrock 1406 600 CFM Carb w/ 1" spacer Chrome Edelbrock Air Cleaner Cherry Bomb replaces the Catalytic converter Straight pipe out the back Smog + Emissions equipment delete Some hoses and such were cleaned up to make the engine bay look better Inside: replaced dash pad, center console, 2 front plastic trim peices Rear seat delete (except under the kid's car seat) Front Seats got decent covers for now Gage swap: Removed 85 mph speed and installed 120 mph speedo (odo is off now) Added Roof console, instead of just a little square dome light. Pioneer Cd player, Sony Explode 6X9 speakers in the rear The interior looked like it hadnt seen a cloth or vacuum in 10 years or so, it was pretty nasty. It took me a year to get it cleaned enough that it actually look right, finally. Now, dont get it twisted, the guy i got this car from was a cool dude, the car just sat for years without even so much as being cleaned. Facts are Facts, and i wish we wouldnt have to rescue cars like this, people should just take care of them because they are what they are. Stop by and see me at our local car shows here in charlotte! ++ Now seeking sponsoships from Vendors ++ |
