| I started racing motorcycles when I was 7 years old and since then I couldn't get away from the adrenaline rush that automotive competition provides. I did motocross, flat track racing, and dirt drags... pretty much anything involving two wheels. Then I got my license and moved up to a larger vehicle... my 87 IROC-Z. That was my first car. Continuing with the racing, I started to autocross it and got hooked. I'm now done upgrading the suspension components, and I'm working on upgrading the brakes and drivetrain so I stay competitive with all the Subaru's, Acura's, and BMW's in my class. However, since I'm still in high school, I'm on a very tight budget and currently working 3 jobs to try and put parts on it and save for college... and find a beater every winter so my car doesn't ever have to experience the cruel side effects of salt (so far it hasn't). If not, you have to check out their website and stop by for one of their car gatherings every Saturday night from ~5 until people leave (usually around 8). Make: Chevrolet Model: Camaro Type/Page Option: IROC-Z Ext. Color: Dark Red Metallic (according to the 1987 dealership brochure I have) Int. Color: Black/gray Engine: 305 TPI V8 Transmission: 700R4 Rear End: 9 Bolt Disk w/ 3.27 Posi Dyno: came with 190 hp and 295 lb/ft from the factory... Best Run (8/15/2009)............ R/T: 0.085 seconds 60': 1.626 seconds 1/8 Mile: 9.950 @ 68.85 mph 1/4 Mile: 15.562 @ 93.61 mph Weight: 3,550 pounds with me in it That was my first time ever drag racing the car and I was having some traction issues on old street tires Videos: - Trying to figure out why my computer isn't letting me post them online... Engine: - Hypertech Airfoil - "Ram Air" boxes Exhaust: - Stock exhaust manifolds - Stock Y-pipe with some tiny holes  - Stock dented catback Drivetrain and Brakes: - 3" Aluminum Driveshaft - 9-bolt 3.27 Posi w/ disk brakes - LS1 front brake upgrade - LS1 Master Cylinder - Hawk HP+ front pads - Hawk HPS rear pads - Earl's braided lines Suspension and Frame Mods: - Koni Yellows - Eibach Pro-Kit - J&M Strut Mounts - Edelbrock Strut Tower Brace - Spohn Subframe Connectors - UMI Lower Control Arm Relocation Brackets - UMI Adj Lower Control Arms (rod/poly) - UMI Adj PanHard Bar (rod/poly) - 36/21 Swaybars (I'll be going with a smaller rear bar next Spring) - Added more welds to stock Wonder bar (I think it made it stronger...) - poly just about everywhere Interior: - Surprisingly... it's in perfect condition for being factory original - Corbeau Forza seats (originals are stored in a climate controlled area) - G-Force 5pt Harnesses (only used for autocross) Exterior - Needs some small dents repaired and could use new paint but I'm not concerned Car Audio & Security: - Infinity Speakers - Sony X-plod head unit If only I could justify the cost of an upgraded audio system...
