KnottyBuoyz's 1987 Chevrolet IROC-Z
My Camaro History.....

2009 - present '87 IROC-Z 5.7 TPI
1987 - 1991 '87 IROC-Z 5.7 TPI
1984 - 1987 '84 Z28 305 automatic
1983 - 1984 '80 Berlinetta automatic

Currently I have an '87 IROC bought for restoration. I originally had one brand new in '87 but when the kid came along it had to go in exchange for the mini-van *sigh*. I tried to track down my original car but it disappeared from the registry in the mid '90's. I searched for six months before I found the current car in Woodbridge last fall. The car got put away for the winter and we (Wifey) and I went up to see it in the spring. Bought it on the spot. Should have looked a lil' closer but nothing ventured nothing gained eh?

My previous car to the '87 was an 84 Z28, charcoal grey & gold which was a very very nice car although a little anemic with a carbed 305. Prior to that it was a '80 Berlinetta which was also a nice driving car but I hated those spoked hub caps and their unending squeaks.

I firmly believe that these cars were created to test our faith. This current car has been a challenge to correct years of neglect, molestation and abuse. You truly have to "Earn" the right to own one of these 3rd Generation Camaro's or Firebirds. I can truly appreciate the effort (and expense) that goes into keeping these things alive. At a car show I'll pay more attention (and compliments) to those who've spent the time (paid their dues) under the car and dash to bring them to show quality. The guy who goes out and spends a horrendous amount of money on a show piece w/o turning a wrench on it, well lets just all turn our backs on him eh? Just my humble opinion..... Standby.....
