Dodgeismo's 1985 Chevrolet CAMARO Z-28 T-Top
1985 Camaro Z-28 Sport Coupe T-Top car. 2009 project.
Just picked it up for $1500.00 (Can$). 305, 4bbl., auto. I bring it home on flat bed Sunday! (31/05/09). More info when I check it out more. Ismo.

A) (June 2/09: Car needs some T.L.C.,
1) rr sway bar clamps,..gone, just hanging there.
2) wiring under hood is butchered, no battery posts, AC pump is there w/no lines, flaking paint/rust mixture... it looks like sh**! I love it!...just what I wanted, a project to tear apart, refurbish and bring back to life. Next..clean it off and introduce it to the garage! Pics when I get started. Hard parts done,... I HAVE A CAMARO Z-28!...in my driveway!!!..yeah!

B) (June 7/09): LOL....I had fun yesterday, last owner attempted to install, "push button start". The car did not turn over after putting on new battery posts,..so I checked below, sure enough...speaker wire!..hooked up to starter, and hanging loose under hood!
Damn! the car could have turned over going over a bump on the flatbed on the way home last week!
Anyway, I'm putting it back to "stock" form today, (it will/ everything in car, will all be replaced with new/ re-furbished components as I begin putting it together), so I can drive it into the garage this week, (under its own power), and start disassembly.***(June13/09..not yet!)***
(I'm on the... "check it out/ learn the ins and outs of your new car" mode. I got the rear hatch open yesterday, took panels and carpet out. Only a few inches, (4-8 inches), of the split seam by rust syndrome on passenger side rear inner wheel well..all in all, not bad. I don't have my digital camera anymore, so I'll have to drag my laptop/ webcam outside to record and then post what I've found.
(I don't want to make previous mistakes, and not record my project from beginning to end). Well, I'm going outside again...wish me luck!

C) (June 13,2009): Been a few days since I updated my vB garage so;
I've posted about 100 blurry webcam pics... found a bit more damage to repair, .. drivers side floor board is shot (approx. 1' dia.). I could repair the nose piece...(I probably will repair it later for a spare..or to sell), (but I'm going to change it to the iroc foglight style front nose piece anyway,..
I had a '74 monte carlo that had no floors front or back,..10" high x 36" + of no quarter panels,.. and I actually took some sheet metal and fabricated 2 quarters and it looked better than stock, (I gave it a better looking curve line).

I drew up the plans and built my 22' x 24' garage. The floor, (base), is about 13" higher than ground level, (to accommodate the landscaping later,...I'm excavating the lot in a few years from now and will be building a new house on the property, and the neigboring yards all have new or newer houses on them and therefore have a higher ground level...I'm in a RUT! all right, (ha ha).
So when I build the new house,.. then the ground level will be flush with thier yards, damn near, and with my garage floor, (giving the floor a few inches of height over ground level though for waters sake).
So,.. my point, finally, is this.... right now I need a ramp, (13" +), to be able to access the garage with my car..., ( I wanted to get the car running so it could be driven in under its own power and so that I could hear the engine running/ drive it even a few feet,.. because it's going to be dismantled for quite awhile,...I figure anywhere from 6-months to 2-years..),
Anyway, thanks for reading...Next time.
