i dislike vette rims. center caps on them are too easy to rip off. make sure if you get rims you get at least 17x9 for the rear.

even though you're not listening to me, this is for any other firebird owners.
1. its a corvette rim, it looks good on vettes and other chevys.
2. Nothing stands out like chrome(black ice comes close). I'm sure the black rims will match your white with gold badges as well as blue painted rims.
3. It isnt that hard to shrink an image of a rim in microsoft paint or cut and paste it from another car, dont need photoshop for everything
4. You get what you pay for, especially when its new
5. You should have started a new thread

275/35-18 Sumitomos. Not exactly the best tire, but they seem to run fine for now, and I like the look with the sportlines.

I havent seen any late 02 WS6 rims. I photochopped someone's fbody pic on the board but forgot their name. If you recognize the pic please remind me . I changed the color, hood and rims. I think the edgeness of the rims match the edgeness of our thirdgens.

I hate to say it, but those are generally the wheels that people are trying to get away from. They are not bad wheels, they just seem to indicative of the 80's/miami vice/Ferrari f40 knock off wheel. Have seen many with those rims.. too many.

I did some looking at the ronal site and I really like these. Ronal RT deep lip. It says they only come in 17x7.5" though...what is the widest tire I could fit with that size? They seem a little on the skinny side but the style is badass.

Anyone with Boyds 'timeless 5's' on a camaro, I think these would look awesome, but I haven't seen anyone do it yet-

If money were no object - the baddest IMHO would be the Kenesis K58, or even K57 these are some of the hottest performance rims I have seen.

Thinking of new rims for my car- ( i have the classic ARE 5 stars(they were cool when I bought them in 91')) but want to update the look , but keep it classic but not trendy ( maybe standard CCW's? in 17" or 18")

What do you guys think.

Hey what do you think about these? I found them on ebay for $395 a set(front:17x9.5-rear:18x10) . Really good deal, but i think the fronts are to wide. I also like the ronal firehawks but right now there out of my budget...

17x9.5 is quite common and easy to fit on a thrdgen. you have to buy $300 worth of spacers to get those to fit right. i think i posted the motorsport version of those wheels on page 2 or something like that.

Although I think those rims are really awesome looking. I would leave them right on the shelf, and would not spend even $100 to put them on my car. The problem with so many of these rims is that's all you would see, the car gets lost behind the rims. For rims to look Good, they have to complement the car, not be the focus. If you have a flashy paintjob by Chip Foose and lots of other things going on, then go for the fancy rims, otherwise they look like crap.

IMO

John

My rims are stock but if I had to pick a different set I would go with the firehawks ronals.
