I have always liked my stock rims, but I like them polished better. I was considering chroming them but after going through the 17 pages of this post, I decided chrome is too much shine for me. I'll keep my rims the way they are.
any body ever get pics of the ruff racing 280 wheels on a car? i saw some 19 and 20 inch that i want to attempt to put on but want to know what they look like first on a car

My old heap is just an lo3. Kind of an insult for a Formula, but oh well. It's still good to cruise around the desert with the tops out. "Maiu Blue" is the original color from the factory.
I was torn between the Ronals and ROH Snypers, but the R15's look the best on that color car. I need to get some clear side markers next.

This is the message:
So is that a 92 or 91? 5 speed or auto?
Got any high res pics you can email me with?
I have a large collection of 3rd gens on my HD
Yeah they never should have made LO3 Formulas---I feel your pain--I had an LO3 IROC I even took off the decals I was ashamed
But thats what engine swaps are for! lol
When you ever want to sell--let me know. Not promsing to buy it but I would think about it.
I know the Crager Black Soft 8's or Chrome Soft 8's aren't favorites on 3rd Gens, but I want to see what they look like on a Firebird or Camaro. If any has them or can photoshop them on preferably a Firebird (82-84) U wil make my day...
I'm adding my contribution to this good and long post!
When time came for me to change my rims, I took a very long time before getting decided. Rims can make or ruin the look of a car. plus I had to choose at least 17's because of my Baer brakes. Moreover, I wanted to keep the spirit of the car intact so I discarded many rims because of too recent looking. This the same reason I didn't to go with 18's
I found an awesome model but it's not available anymore. It was the corsa model from Niche. They were awesome.
I finally got a set of ZR1 replicas for third gen. I'm not disappointed by the result. They look pretty good to me for my ride and they respect the kind of design for these years.
What you guys think about the Niche Corsa ?

I used to have the T.T.II's on mine and it looked good but...I found the ultimate wheel for the 3rd Gen. Camaro...they are the Boze "Octane" 18's all the way around
here are some pics on my old 86 iroc-z they were 16/9.5 ARs i thought they looked pretty good for a cheapy 16 inch rim...
lol dont mind the flames on the drivers window... a friend of mine had some fun with a paint marker... this was a pic of my 86 iroc-z after i hit a deer at 100 ish MPH and had to replace the front clip, hood, fender, radiater, and headlight assembly...

6 years and not one person has mentioned the classic Chevy rally wheel! No, I don't think they look the best on a third gen, but I can't believe nobody has said they do. Actually, now that I think about it, they do look pretty good on a '82-'84 Z28.
getting rare to see a real nice condition stock looking one these days.
i agree with that, and thats exactly why im just thinking about keeping my stock wheels that came with my 3rd gen. red on the insides that matched with the (now) faded red paint, and the once red paint on the rims, now almost a pinkish color. but i know they will look good! and everyone and their mother and freakin dog have AR TT 2's im so sick of seein em. as for aftermarket, i think a set of BOYD COTTINGTON's are freakin SICK but will run you $$$$
you're right! Stock wheels look really nice especially when the car is lowered.
I attached a picture I found on the internet of a stock looking and awesome third gen. Maybe a TGO member. Anyway he's got a very nice car.

I think this is a decent look without getting too radical, not a lot of money either. GM wheels, one piece, made in USA, 16x8, from ZQ8 package on the S10s.
Not the best picture, rainy day here.
