Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
Thats sick as hell, im not really a fan of the bigger rims with thinner tires type but this stance really pulls it off and makes even guys like me dig it. To pull off that type of rim with a muscle car youve gotta have a pro-touring kind of stance, i never liked them cause nobody ever changed the stance, they'd just throw those wheels on and brag. They look sick with the stance though! I sold my 91' RS a few weeks back but hopefully i'll get back in the game here soon with an Iroc and i'll be looking for some of the greyed painted Torq Thrusts. Gotta admit that Firebird with the Keystone Craigers on the last page looked ironicly good also! haha
PS: You just cant do the big-rim/small-tire combo with small rotors, that looks awful as well, if you do the big rim/small tire combo its gotta have a lowered stance and some mean-*** rotors to set the background! ^_^

yea i agree with the brakes they need to be upgraded with bigger rotors and calipers but as of right now money is going into engine upgrades then ill move on to brakes and suspension im not to happy how it sits going to go get weight jacks !!!! not sure what direction to go with the brakes yet maybe ls1 or something idk havent put much thought in it yet with my engine project going

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
These are going on my 1986 Z28 this weekend. American Racing VNT70R 17 x 8's with Nitto 555's all the way around. They weigh 23 lbs a piece. I'll weigh them with the 555's for grand total for ya' when I get them on.

Not enough GOOD looking black wheels
That and I haven't seen anyone else with black SS wheels, so I decided to try it. The spoke design I knew would look good. Just wait till you see the tires for them... gonna look NICE!

Here's a shot with the VNT70R's mounted with Nitto 555's. Better photos to come.
Just about a perfect looking fit under the fenders.
This is a side by side with the new vs the old 15 x 7 stock rims with Eagle GT's.

17 x 8 American Racing VNT70R's with Nitto 555's. The metal gray enhances the silver ground effects perfectly and the polished lips are just enough bling to make the wheels stand out.

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
You're right. I bought some chrome IROC copies, with 0 offset. They look great, and I can rotate them. Sure wish I could get them in 17x10 though.

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
I'm running the same exact wheel in 16". How wide are those 17's? I need some 17x10's - two of them for the rears. I need to put some more rubber on the ground.

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
Question, would they powdercoat just the inside part of an original GTA rim leaving the silver lip intact?

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
this is going to sound weird but i am going with 20x8.5 front and 20x10 rear breyton gts's powdercoated fluorescent orange on a lowered 92 z28 vert that is going to be dark gunmetal grey. believe me it sounds weird but it looks awesome. I will try to get pics up when i get the car ready to show. Its beautiful and has that roadrace look. It has tow hooks front and rear and has the hawks 5" rear spoiler (never seen it done on a vert so I had to do it) which took some work to make it fit right. I like my car to be different yet look good. I was going to go with 22 inch irocs but its been done a million times. these are the wheels on a bmw

Re: BEST looking 3rd gen firebird & camaro rims
guess I should put mine up here. I got them sometime ago (2006 I think). They are 16-9 1/2" 0 MM offsets. They are chromed. I have been looking for 17 by 10's or 11's, but can only find 8 1/2's in all diamters now.

Bough my ROH Snypers in 2004, still get a ton of great feedback. Took me 3 years to decide on them.
