Re: To all running C5 rims

If they're stock C5 wheels, use 2" all the way around. That's what I have.

I have a pair of 1¾" ones, that I also tried on the rear; they don't quite fit.

I have the stock C5 tire sizes (just look up a 99 Vette on TireRack or something) on mine; I don't recall them off the top of my head. Just whatever's stock for a C5. Fit PERFECT.

Re: To all running C5 rims

I have a different version of C5 wheels. I have ones that came stock on the base model I believe. Stock Corvette sizes are 245/45/17 and 275/40/18. I have 275/35/18 and stock front tires. I'm getting them mounted on the rims today. I have 2" spacers for the back, and 1.7" I believe in the front...they should fit with the LS1 brakes I am going to put on.

Re: To all running C5 rims

They call for :

p245/45r17 front
p275/45r17 rear

rims I have are all 8.5" wide

I could run p245/45r17 all the way around right?

If they're stock C5 wheels, or the same sizes as stock, then the fronts are 17s, and the rears are 18s; and they're 2 different widths besides.

So no, that wouldn't work.

Now if whatever wheels you're talking about are NOT stock C5 wheels, but rather are aftermarket, and they're all the same size, then that might work. 4th gen F body wheels would be about that size, and use about those tires.

Seems like the tires I have on my car are about the same as CamaroKid's; but I don't recall for sure. They're pretty close to his at least, anyway.

They look ok, no dish doesn't work for me though. If I had to use a vette wheel it would either be the Z06's or the ZR1's.

same size wheels should use the same size spacer. you don't want your front wheels to stick out more than the rears.

Re: To all running C5 rims

I got C5 Z06 motorsports rims on my car with 18x9.5 with 275 35 18 on the front with a 2.25" spacer. On the back I got 18x10.5 with 295 35 18 with a 2" spacer. They fit really good and don't stick out at all. I would email Andrew Sklutte and ask him what the best spacer size would be for your car he will even exchange them for different sizes if they don't fit right.
