Widest tires to fit on the back of my Z on the Stock Wheels??

I did some searching and didn't find anything. I'm trying to figure out what the widest tires are that I could put on my Stock 15in wheels for my Z28 in the rear.

I realize I wouldn't be able to rotate them as I'm planning on putting a stock sized tire up front.

What would you guys think that I could safely fit on my rear wheels?

I have BF Goodrich 295/50/15s on my stock rims on my Firebird, I would think you could fit that size aswell. If I wanted to go any larger I would need to tub the car..

Still legal they dont stick out..

Pretty wide tires lol..

Wow,

Mine sorta looks like that now. I wonder what size is on it. I've never looked.... I just know they are shot. I do know there are rub marks in the front inner fender wells. Looks like it currently has the same size all the way around too.

I would not go wider than a 235 tire on a 7" wheel, it will "bubble out" and not give you better traction or handling.

I can understand what you mean, but I have no complaints with my 295 rear tires. I get excellent traction and I cant say the car doesn't handle well.
