16" wheels with 245-50-16's?

I have an 88 IROC Z that has the original 16" rims and they have 245/50/16 tires. I just purchased a 91 Camaro RS that has the Original 16" rims (origianl equipment tires are 235/55/16) and the rims are specific to the front or back/w spacers (like the IROC). My question is can I mount 245/50's onto the 91 16" rims? without problems. Thanks for your help...

The Tire Rack specs for 245/50-16 Fuzions are rim width of 7" to 8.5".
As long as your stock wheels are at least 7" wide (seems they should be), you should be good to go.
You might want to check wheel well space, the 245s are a tad wider. A formality, folks are stuffing LOTS of tire in there.

You could run 255s all around, or even the BFG 295/50 16s on the rear 2.

The 91 16inch rims came with either 235/55s or 245/50s depending on if it was a V8 RS or a Z28. Yes, they'll fit. I've had two sets of 245/50s and two sets of 235/55s on my car's stock 16s (V8 RS).
