C6 ZR1 Corvette wheels

I was wondering if anyone has the C6 ZR1 Corvette wheels on a 3rd gen.

I found replica on ebay, they are available in gloss black, hypersilver and chrome.

Re: C6 ZR1 Corvette wheels

they wont look good (IMO) unless you have massive brakes to fill the empty space.
unless you have 13" calipers in front and back, they will look doofy

To each his own, but I think that would just look silly. Third Gens are a real basic car, mostly straight, and they have a real bold look to them. The ZR1 wheel has too many spokes, almost a kind of unorganized or scattered look.

Re: C6 ZR1 Corvette wheels

I really like the zr1 rims. But i have to agree without the right brakes behind those wheels it just wont look right at all...plus the price on them wheels regardless if they are look alikes or not is really high IMO.

Here is some pics of a corvette with the chrome ones(at a local car show)...mmmm i really want those rims(and brakes lol)

and a close up...

Re: C6 ZR1 Corvette wheels

Chrome is actually one of the easiest metals to keep clean, all it takes is hot water mixed with vinegar, then wiped off with a newspaper, they'll look perfect.

That method of using hot water mixed with vinegar and wiped off with newspaper also makes windows look absolutely perfect with no streaks, almost mirror like.

Unless.. you live near the ocean like me, as I mentioned in another thread, I'm not sure how chrome would stand up to salty ocean air. Meguiars claims to make some pretty good stuff though.

Re: C6 ZR1 Corvette wheels

I'd like to see the ZR1 wheels in "competition grey". I haven't seen aftermarket versions in a size combo I'd want though. 19x9.5-10F & 19x11R. Tons of 17s and such but nothing larger. Anyone found some?
