2010 5'th Gen camaro wheels? Anyone photoshop them?

Has anyone photoshoped 5'th gen Camaro wheels on a thirdgen yet to get an idea what they would look like? They even have a thirdgen 'style' wheel option that look similar to the earlier IROC rims.

Here are the stock 5'th gen wheel and tire size specs:
LS:
18" x 7.5" Steel wheels
245/55-18 all-season tires

LT:
18" x 7.5" Aluminum wheels
245/55-18 all-season tires

19" x 8" Aluminum wheels
245/50-19 all-season tires

SS:
Front: 20" x 8" Aluminum wheels
Rear: 20" x 9" Aluminum wheels
Front: 245/45-ZR20 summer tires
Rear: 275/40-ZR20 summer tires

I am not very good at photoshopping so here are some pictures I found to help anyone who is up for the task.

Hopefully some good photos pop up that can be used for a photoshop.

Re: 5'th Gen camaro wheels? Anyone photoshop them?

boo...
stupid GM.
they set out to re create the camaro.
the concept looks great and i wanted one the second i saw the concept.
HOWEVER
as it got closer and closer to production, it started looking more and more like an overinflated balloon animal.
the concept car had 22" wheels and IIRC they were 9.5" wide on the rear at least.
then the penny pinchers and bean counters got a hold on the car and it got more and more "dumbed down"

Why would you want that as your new wheel? Can you even have a more boring wheel than that? If you like the IROC-style look, then get the actual iroc rims. Cmon people, let's get creative and put on some style to your cars! Look at some aftermarket wheels for your thirdgen instead of these crap 5thgen wheels.

Re: 5'th Gen camaro wheels? Anyone photoshop them?

the reason i havent been interested in iroc replicas is that they are only 8" wide.
that, and you can only find them chromed.
i like the polished and painted black look much better than chrome.
of course you can find someone who will sell you un chromed ones, but id still like 9.5" wide wheels

Gettinh polished Irocs may be hard, but not impossible. just
ask the wheel manufacturer to give you the wheels after they have been polished. as you know, they have to polish them before they chrome them. also, if you want to widen them, then have it done yourself. i widened mine to 18x11.

I really like the look the the SS 19" & 20" wheel. 5'th gen wheel are produced in high volume and will eventually sell for pretty cheap second hand comparative to aftermarket rims. If you don't like them fine, no need to be negative.

Re: 2010 5'th Gen camaro wheels? Anyone photoshop them?

i talked to oasis a while ago about a set of un-chromed iroc replicas.
they were a lot cheaper than the chromed ones.

as for widening, how much does that cost?
ive heard of it being done, but nobody gives prices.
i would be looking at 11" rear and 9.5" front

2 places both quoted me $200/per wheel, for up to 3" widening to the inside, on my 17" ROH Snypers. Plus shipping.

I'm thinking about having one of my extra Snypers actually NARROWED to be used a full sized spare. I hate donut spares.

Thanks Stephen, the 18" look pretty good, they would probably look a lot better polished. I bet they will be pretty cheap soon as people upgrade to the large wheels.

Getting the to show size correcting is purely a guessing game. The source pics woulda make the rims alone like 56"!

I could only try to get them to match the stock 16" in size, then make them slightly bigger to make them look 18".

The whole new camaro is a complete disapointment , supposed to look retro? Try again GM you get a F. They need to take lessons from Ford or Dodge.

GM was not going retro with the new Camaro, contrary to popular belief. It was intended (and IS) a totally brand new car. It has slight styling cues of older generations, but the design is brand new.

And I'm not just talking out of my butt here, I heard it straight from the horse's mouth in Bowling Green, KY at the National FBody Gathering with Scott Settlemire. And if you don't know who Scott Settlemire is, google him before you quote me in your next post.

Re: 5'th Gen camaro wheels? Anyone photoshop them?

I don't understand how someone can NOT like the new Camaro. Seeing these cars in person I can tell you that pics don't do them the proper justice. These cars are freaking sexy as hell! I have a friend who's girlfriend just got a V6 model and the thing pulls on stock 4thgen LS1's! I didn't believe it till I saw it with my own eyes. These cars are sick.

too bad that GM is dropping Pontiac altogether and won't actually produce the new trans am. why couldn't the general just drop saturn, that's one of the least important car line that they produce. maybe I'm just rambling here though

It is true they are crap. Maybe thats why the owner of our stores bought them Roger PENSKE. If i loose my job this year ill no why. Hed rather buy crappy cars than let someone keep a job. Now im rambling. GM gae him a 2 yrs to start producing his own parts. At the end of them 2 years youll start seein the below picture on your new part rather than GM

eh, we still have the third gens and they're amazing looking and they're old enough that there's plenty of tuning stuff available for them. and like one of my fav. magazines said, the cars are getting heavier and slower, but we have options to put new muscle into our lighter older cars, being able to beat the new ones hands down. but maybe I'm just rambling

haha, first need to find a set of them, I'll probably wait a few months until there's plenty of camaros out then, I can look into a tire shop that'll have the stock ones that people traded for aftermarket ones

till then I'm about wondering if they would even clear at all. anyone have the exact specs of the SS rims? 19 in. front and 20 in. rear??

And I'm not just talking out of my butt here, I heard it straight from the horse's mouth in Bowling Green, KY at the National FBody Gathering with Scott Settlemire. And if you don't know who Scott Settlemire is, google him before you quote me in your next post.
I heard it from Scott at the Indy gatering / unveiling of the 5th Gen last Sept. I think everyone needs to look, listen and drive a 5th Gen before making decisions on how they feel about the car. In person it is amazing. From a technical point of view it is ahead of it's time and as an example that is why everyone wants to put the 20's on a sports car - new concept. I for one am glad that GM brought the 5th Gen back as a Camaro. I don't want to be like the Pontiac people with no new generation to look at and constantly photoshoping the 5th Gen Camaro into a Firebird that will never be.

Compare Generations...

Re: 5'th Gen camaro wheels? Anyone photoshop them?

I was leary when i first seen pics, but good god in person its unbelievable. Just like people when the mustangs came out in that new style. wasnt much to look at but now everyone has it, its just another car.
But the camaro on the other hand, I cant get tired of looking at it. i see a different one every day. Just like yesterday i seen one that looked like the one in transformers, then i seen a maroon one with black stripes and the ss hood. I cant tell you how many are running around in northern ky. And as far as retro goes i mean really, it has the 69 rear quarters, and the first gen side window stlye (with the quarter window) And if your saying its not retroed at all then how would we know it was a camaro?

the generations all have their own specs and everything, and my personal fav are the third gens, most of us here probably do favor the third gens the most. and the only swap from the fith gens that I want are the SS wheels
