tire suggestions

hello everyone. its that time of year where burnouts and tailwhips have cracked and melted my tires and im in need of a set of new tires. i just replaced the fronts with a pair of Fuzion Vri 225/50r16 and i like them except for the fact they look low on air sometimes when theyre not. anyways my rear are in need of replacing but i want something that gives me an aggressive look. right now i have 16 by 8 inch rims all around. the fronts ive mentioned and the rear are wrapped with 245/50r16 and they stick out a good bit when looked at from the rear, and i kinda like that look, but i feel that i want a taller tire so that it fills in the rear more. so im thinking of going slightly bigger 255/50r16 but im wondering will that even fit on the rear? im getting the tires from Tirerack.com so i wont be able to just take them back if they dont fit. has anyone else ran a tire that wide in the back? or should i be going for a thicker tire like a 245/60r16?

also any suggestions on tires would be appreciated too.

ive heard good about indy 500's, and Kumho ecstas. and right now im looking at perhaps general grabbers or kumhos

also keep in mind i want these tires to last a good while and this car doesnt see any snow or mud, just the occasional rain.

IMO! I like the zx912"s for the rain they are z rated. They stick like glue in the rain!! im currently running yokohama's all the way around They also stick like glue in the rain and are z rated. you want to go wider on the width so that would be 245 /45/ 16s NOT 245/60r16
