Alright I have a 92 Camaro RS and the center caps are missing. The lug nut covers are there and thats it. Does anyone have a suggestion on the best place to buy new/replacement center caps.
I have looked online and found some but all of them show only the center cap piece not the piece that the lug caps hold on and the center caps are attached to. if these are sold along with it would it be specified on the site? if not any idea where i could buy the whole set?
BTW its the 15in wheels that came on the car stock.
Thanks in advance for your help...
here is a pic

Reason: Added a picture of what it looks like now
i found the part as rs center caps... what rims would they be if not stock because when i bought it there was nothing done to it at all... it was bone stock...so those came on it... do u have a pic of the stock ones?? i wanna make it all original... so if they are not the right ones i want new ones
I guess it depends on the RS - my 1992 came with dual line 16" wheels, and the Camaro center caps like on the 93-9? Camaro's
Yes, I too have seen the 16" wheels factory on '92 RS's. It was because the car was ordered with an optional higher performance tire. The 15" X 7" wheel as in the picture is the base wheel for the '92 RS. It had P215/65R-15 tires mounted to them from the factory.
now i hate to bump this but i didnt want to start a new thread... can someone take a picture of their 15in rim with the center cap so i can see exactly how its supposed to look my dad and i have differing opinions and i am pretty sure the caps arent held on by the lug nut caps but he seems to think they have to be a pic will clear this up quickly...so if you would be so kinda as to post a pic i would be forever greatful... thanks in advance!!
I'll get a picture a little later, I need to wake up a bit. For the center caps, there are five pins that align to the five small holes in the rim. Can see these in your picture.
Then there are five metal clips that snap into the center opening of the wheel. The pins align the cap, the clips hold them in place. Don't use a mallet to put them on. Just align the pins with the cap a little sideways, partially in place. Such that the one side of the clips are into the wheel.
Then slap the high side of the cap straight in with the palm of your hand. The use of a mallet usually splits the cap.

{edit: added the pictures. Shows the cap in place, and the cap partially off to show pins & clips. Note that these caps are the OEM factory units. }
Thank you very much sir.
i was right :P
going around to dealerships today to see if there is a set of these that were on a "clunker" and hopefully i can find some that look decent...
I have a set available from a 92 RS that have been sprayed with argent silver wheel paint and have correct GM "Camaro" centers. They look very good on the argent silver RS rims.
