silverado wheels

anyone seen the new silverado wheels?
the ones that look like new iroc wheels?
here's a pic
http://www.finishlinewheels.com/CHEVY/SILVERADO+/2008/
the 20x8.5" ones.

if it werent for the bolt pattern difference, they would look sick on our cars...

anyone up for a swap?

Re: silverado wheels

a 20" wheel on a 3rd gen is hard to pull off, only seen it done well a couple times.

Do you know the offset of the silverado wheels? if its like a 4th gen offset maybe you could find some spacer/adapters to convert to 6 lug if you are really that serious about using them.

Re: silverado wheels

i agree that 20" is a bit big, but factory wheels tend to look smaller than aftermarket wheels.
i found some adapters, but at $100 each, and the wheels at $270 each, its not really economical for me right now...
however, one of you guys who has the cash could try it and take pics for me!
jk

basically, i saw a silverado with those wheels in the parking lot at work and thought, HEY! IROC wheels!!!

Re: silverado wheels

yeah, but you can never get the size perfect unless you have 20" wheels already.

Re: silverado wheels

20" is only 4" too big. the 16's or the 17's would look better.

Re: silverado wheels

except that the wheels are only 6.5" wide, limiting you to 225 tires...
that and the fact that i would have to buy new wheels that are going to need to be widened, then add spacers, which arent cheap at all, and end up with a wheel that is heavier than what i started with (IROC Wheels) that are the same diameter, meaning i dont get to use better tires...

otherwise, great idea

sorry about the sarcasm

Re: silverado wheels

i was refering to looks, if it wasn't for the crappy size. 6.5 is what my cavalier has. and I wouldn't try to put 6 or 8 lug rims on a 5 lug. honestly I would stick with the irocs or get something really light but wider. truck rims won't give you that.

Re: silverado wheels

Wow, I see a wheel that looks like the single vein IROC's, one that looks almost identical to the 91/92 Z28's and one that looks like the Corvette Wagon wheels. You'd think they could have a little originality in their designs.
