traction help

hey guys. does anyone know how wide a tire/wheel combination i can put under my 84 Z28? has anyone used mini tubs? if so what all is involved in the instalation of mini tubs? i'd like to use a 10 inch rim and maybe a tire size 300 50 r15. thanks for any help

do a search for minitub. that topic has been talked about and done by many. you can actually run a 10" rim with the stock wheel wells. just takes some clearancing with a BFH. all of what you ask has been covered there on TGO. just use the search button.


btw, there the tire you want is a 295, not 300. if you are having serious traction problems, a drag radial or DOT slick may be what you need.

hey, thanks for your reply. so you're sayin i can "tuck-in" the 10" rim. with a big f-in hammer? the class i race in does not allow any kind of racing tire,. just a street radial...thanks again
