Tire size question

The car is a 86 Trans Am an I am running the GTA wheels on it. Now I have an extra set of 255/50/16's BFG Comp T/A's laying around off of one of my Corvettes. If I put those tires on the GTA wheels, will they fit or will there be any clearance issues on the car?

Re: Tire size question

The BFG 255s will fit great, front & rear, with zero clearance issues. Been there, done that.

"Bolt" on & go!

Re: Tire size question

Cool thanks. I just called a tire shop and he didnt think they would fit up front and they would rub on the wheel well. I am thinking they are only on size bigger and didnt think there would be an issue. Thats why I wanted to check if anyone is running that size and can say for sure if they will fit or not.

Thanks for the info!!

Re: Tire size question

If the car is lowered, they could rub at full lock. But let's be realistic....At full lock, your driving 3 mph, for 10 feet......
