GTA Wheels on 4thgen axle and ls1 brakes

Hey, I put a 4th gen rear axle and the ls1 rear brakes on it in my 86 T/A, my question is, will the 16" honeycomb wheels fit over the brakes? The factory 15" wheels did not? I know of a guy that is selling a set of GTA wheels but he is not local.... any help would be great, before I have them shipped.... any pics?

Re: GTA Wheels on 4thgen axle and ls1 brakes

I would think this would apply to directly on a 4th gen rear end, the same as the LS1 brakes on a 3rd gen. It is my understanding that the 16mm thick OEM aluminum slip on drum spacers, work just fine.

Last line on the web page.....
" * This brake kit should fit with all stock style 16" wheels, except for the TransAm/Firebird crosslace wheel. To use this wheel, minor clearancing or the use of a wheel spacer will be necessary."
