found these on racing junk this morning and ordered a set right away. i got the 15x10's. all 4 wheels shipped to maine cost $420. i couldn't pass on that. the guy i talked to bob said he has a whole warehouse of them. i called and left him a message and he got right back to me.
doesn't seem like to many people are interested in these wheels but mine came in today and all i can say is wow. i was planning on spending alot more on weld draglites and there is not much difference between the two. i'll try to get some pics up later.
thanks, looks like a good deal. if i had a drag car i'd jump on it.
btw, prob should go in a thread category on buyin' stuff. usually they try to keep tech tips and for sale's separated.
edit: i'm having trouble uploading the pics to my hosting site so if anyone does want to see pics i can email them.

turbosbox, i have a street car that will see strip time if i ever get it finished. i didn't let the fact of the skinny fronts stop me from buying them. just have to find the right tires for them.
as far as the comments about this post being in this category. if i was the person selling them then by all means i could see your point. but i am not the person selling them and this category deals with wheels. if the mods had a problem with it here i'm sure they would of moved it.
I thought about buying a few rears but after all the negative reviews I passed. These are the China made ones with Gregs name that was purchased. I hear that getting the lugs on is difficult.

i've read that with the 5x4.5 bolt pattern you need off set washers and that is what was giving people fits trying to get the lugs on, they didn't have enough clearance for a socket to fit in between the wheel and the lug. our 5x4.75 pattern uses a centered washer so it should be alittle easier i hope. i still need to buy washers and the lugs.

the reason that they are so cheap is because greg weld died a little over a year ago and the whole business was liquidated.

Oh i c. how much where they before they got liquidated?
Can you send me the link that shows 4.75 BC has no issues?
in the link below on page 2 post 20 is where i got the info in the previous post about the lug issues. i did some research before i bought them and this thread is what helped me make the final decision. the thread slams greg weld wheels pretty good but you'll also see that there are people that have no problems with them and it seems that the people that are having problems have fords, it also seems that most of the people are referring to the dragstars.
like i said earlier we will be using the centered washers on 3rd gens and bob that sold me the wheels said to use weld lugnuts which brings up the question, what size are the studs on a third gen? i need to order my lugs and i will post a link to the lug nuts with washers once i know the stud size.

So based on your comments my 5/8th wheel studs are prob out of the question with these. I just wanted a back up set of rims.

from what i could find on summit and jegs there are no lugs that fit this wheel in 5/8". this wheel requires a .687 dia. shank on the lugs which is approx. 11/16". unless you had the wheels machined to accept a larger diameter shank you will not find any that will work.
