Storage for rims and tires?

Guys im looking to for ideas, pictures, vendors. Of affordable or even home made tire and rim storage units that get them off the pile on the ground. I would prefer a wall mounted unit as I dont have room for another cabinet right now.

I know alot of us have extra tires or multiple rims/tires.

I personally just put my car up for the winter and I change it back to factory rims and crappy tires(hold air tho) for storage so it doesnt sit on the ones I have on there now. But I also have a back set of tires sitting now and also a full set of rims and tires from an old car and so on. Im looking for somethign to get all this out of the shed and garage floor and onto the wall mounted nice and clear away of walking into it.

Anything will be considered. Thanks

Re: Storage for rims and tires?

All I do is jack up my car and leave it on the jackstands for the winter. Then I armor all the sh!t out of the tires and put vasiline on my rims as a protectant & barrier.

Re: Storage for rims and tires?

I leave my wheels and tires on the car over the winter, but I jack up the car so they aren't touching the ground. I keep my other set of wheels in the basement under the hot tub. I plan on making my own tire tote things so they wont get the inside of my car dirty for racing next year.

I have an idea for storing them on the wall/ceiling without the tires ever touching anything. It requires some decent fab skills, but it is pretty neat. At least it's neat in my head...
