3rd gen rims on a 2nd gen Firebird????

I've got a couple of questions about the 16x8 GTA crosslace rims.

Will these fit okay on a 1980 Firebird? How about the 15x8 version?

Also, I have seen the GTA rims referred to as "fronts" and "rears".

What is the difference in the front and back? Is it the back spacing?

I was thinking of putting GTA rims on my 1980 Esprit for a different look, and I want to be sure before I look into buying anything.

Thanks for your help!

Re: 3rd gen rims on a 2nd gen Firebird????

3rd gen wheels should fit the second gen, might have some rubbing on the front but i think that happens only when putting those wheels on a first gen. The offset is different front and back on those wheels. It is stamped on the back if they are fronts or back.
