Good Drag Tire Size for 15x7 or 16x8 - Third Generation F-Body Message Boards

What would be a good size for 15x7 or 16x8" rims? I've looked through alot of threads but almost all turn into pissin matches.

I've currently got 17x8s 245/45/17s for the twisties...I got n2o and want a good tire to run at the local 1/8th track. I do want to drive them to the track, so a DOT tire is a must. But really could care less about how fast they wear or how they are in rain, only drive it whens the suns shining.

Some specs might help:
~ 340 horse on spray
t-5 (new clutch is goin in)
3.08 rear posi

255/50/16 mickey thompson works pretty well. ive got a couple buddys that use them at the track.

i think you can get them in like a 235/60/15 also.
