When i bought my 83' Z28 it came with the IROC rimz i have it in storage right now but the day it comes out im gonna need tires. What size are they cause i thought the were 15' in the front and 16' in the back and what tire size should i put? I was thinking 245 front and 255 in back.

You'll note that the wheels, which are 16's, are marked front and rear (different off set). OE tires are P245/50R16.

So 245/50R16 in the front 255/50/R16 in the back sound good?
Sorry, D, I'm not much of a tire man. I'm sure a member with more experience will provide some advice (me, I'm running OE all around).
One thing to consider with the IROC wheels is rotation. Because of the off set, the standard rotation can't be done. If you choose to, the tires must be removed and remounted--that would prove difficult with different-sized tires.

honestly the best way to tell....is to look at your old tires ...depending on wich iroc wheels you have the may even be 15" rims ...better safe then sorry

Only problem is my cars in storage and i have to make an appointment to see it because the janitor of the building is very lazy.So i won't know for sure until the end of the week.
I know this is outlandish for me to ask, but did that carry over to the 4th gens? I mean fronts and rears are different? Are they marked?
4th Gens had matching wheels all around, No Front/Rear.
I'd recommend sticking with the 245/50's all around. Going wider doesn't always pay, spend the money and get a better quality tire, that'll make up for any traction issues most times.
Recommendations: Firestone Firehawk Wide Oval or Goodyear Eagle F1 GS-D3 depending on your budget.
You trust your car, your safety and the safety of others in your car to your tires, Therefore don't skimp if you can help it.

For now I'll stick to something a bit more affordable it's not like a wanna beat the car up.......yet lol. Needs some work,so for now im gonna try out the 255's in the back and 245's in the front but for some reason i keep thinking its R15 in the front and R16 in the back is that possible?
