Weld RTS Rims

I've had Weld Prostars on my car since 2001. They were great rims and still looked good but I wanted something different so I bought some Weld RTS rims. 15x4.25 on the front and 15x8.25(4.5in backspacing) on the rear. I'm happy with how they look, I think it gives the car a more modern drag car look. The pics really don't do it justice but you get the idea. I'll get some better ones next weekend at the NMCA/LSX event.

Re: Weld RTS Rims

Anyone else have these on a thirdgen? I've seen a few 4thgen cars with these in both 17in and 15in . The 15in version looks good on a street/strip car and the 17in ones look good on a street car or pro-touring style car.

Looks good. I have not seen these on 3rd gens yet. Good style wheel.

If only they cleared ls1 brakes. I frankly dont like mismatched sized wheels.

I got them from Jims Racing Tires, they had a better deal than jegs or summit. The total for all 4 rims was about $950. Jims Racing Tires included the valve stems, lugnuts and shipping free. Plus weld is offering a $25 mail in rebate for each rim so the total would be about $850 with the rebate.

I've wondered how they would look in a 17" or 18" on a thirdgen too. I'm thinking they would look great.

Re: Weld RTS Rims

you can get them to fit any brake set up.

wheels can be orderd to fit any caliper size

low pad
med pad
or High pad

welds lug nuts for this wheel are now 5 in a bag $11.00 ea bag
all the RTS wheels come with stems and cap.

i did the all polished 15x3.5 front &10x15 (6.5) back space back

takes about 1 month for them to make a set.. (my set anyway)

Re: Weld RTS Rims

the last 3 wheels showed up about 30 min ago. they do look good.

will do a test fit. and look to see what all i have to remove under the car to get them to fit with the 29x12.5 x15 sportsmen.

the sportsmen are just a Tad wider the the Micky ET Streets and 1" taller
ET Streets are 28x12.5x15

the back rims are sold has 10.3 wide. but from outside edg to out side edg runs 11.5 wide. will try to get PIC or two up

UP DATE:after the test fit going to go with swap out to ( 9.275 wide rear wheels)
and the 6.5 back space.

Re: Weld RTS Rims

got the 2nd set of wheels in

had to go with a med pad on the front to clear the willwood calipers.
(had a lowpad set) front was a no fit.

rear was allso swapped out for med pad..my boo boo
should have got the new 2nd set with low pads in the back.
the front dish of the wheels with a 6.5 back space. and a 9.275 wide wheel puts the front dish looking the same has my 3.5 wide front wheel.
I like the look of a dish in the front my self.

so now ill order a 15x10 with a 6.5 back space with a low pad.
this should give me a 4" front dish.

but. before i do. ill be test fitting the new wheels. on the car.
with a mock up of a tire side wall.
will try to get a few pics up tonite
