weiand team g manifolds why they look like this?

ok I have been thinking of getting a diffrent manifold I or well my engine wants an open plenum style one and I was looking at these team-g ones ...but something kinda bothers me about it ...why does it look like (in the picture) that the lifter valley would be exposed ..is there a base you can buy for it ?????
oh the part number in jegs is 925-7530

It's not a two piece design. Are you talking about that hole in the floor of the plenum? Mounts a divider I believe. Could be a cheater hole.LOL

It's just a typical single-plane air-gap. It's still one piece, still covers the valley. It's a really good intake.

i have this intake and i cant see the pic. from the way mine looks, still new and mounted on the stand, i dont quite understand the question. the only thing that resembles a hole to me is the square indentation and the bottom of the plenum. i plan to add a "turtle" thinger to help make a smoother flow into the runners.

The manifold shown in the most recent Jeg's at the top of page 67 is a Big-block Chrysler manifold, which is a two-pice manifold, employing a valley cover. Most, if not all, of those Hi-po Chryslers are like that.

The small-block Chevy monifolds will be a typical one-piece design.
