TPIS Mini-Ram II vs. Holley Stealth Ram

Has any one compared the TPIS Mini-Ram with Holleys Stealth Ram, or heard power comparisons. I want to convert my 1988 IROC L98 to one of these two setups but want to be sure i make the right choice. thanks!!!

Unless your doing a complete engine build-up, don't go w/ the Miniram. Its basically an RPM only intake. You need better heads and a much bigger cam to utilize the miniram. You loose sooo much bottom end as compared to a TPI. If you want to just change over, then maybe do more later, go w/ the HSR. Then you won't loose so much torque. Plus the difference in $...

later, justin...

You could also look into one of John's converted LT1 intakes. There's one for sale in the classifieds for like $400 obo. Complete, fully converted w/ all the stuff to put it on...

Well I plan to put in some suspension work, TCI Street Fighter Trans w/12" converter and Hurst quarter stick shifter(also a kick down valve and tranny cooler), built rear end with 3.42 gears or 4th gen rear, and a cowl hood(to accompany the stealth ram). To top it off I was thinking of a ZZ9 cam and an ATI supercharger-P600B(9psi). But I am confussed with what heads I should go with, any suggestions?

What size motor? With a s/c motor you can run larger heads then normal bcuz you dont have to worry as much about port velocity bcuz of the positive pressue on the intake side.

Car: 1988 IROC

I really like the stealth ram, and i really like the pro action lighting heads.... both are much cheaper than similar quality parts, such as the mini ram and AFR heads
