327 heads on 305?
hi boys!. what about heads p/n 3890462 for my stock 305? my friend claims they are from a 327, close chambers, 1.9something valves, they will go with an aluminium performer intake and a 4barrel rochester m4mc carb.
so basically the questions are:
1-will it fit?
2-will increase power?
3-if it does should i use gas super?
thanks to all and keep kicking muswang morons butt!!!

I would venture to say they wouldn't, mainly cuz the 327 is a 4 inch bore engine, same as the 350. I do know that there are a set of 327 heads, maybe trick flows, that will work on the 3.73 bore of the 305, but I am again, not 100% sure.

they'd bolt up. the big problem would be lowering your CR due to the larger size. the valve may hit the deck surface, if they don't good chance they'd still be shrouded and hurt flow.

ok guys, sorry i wasn't clear, my 305 has open chambers and low comp. pistons (concave?)(the opposite to dome pistons) and the idea of a smaller chamber with larger valves does sound like more mass into...with higher compression (slightly).
basically biger valves and smaller chamber.
thanks for your oppinions.
fernando.
