It has been done several times. Usually, 2 turbos draw through a carburetor and blow into a roots blower. Not very efficient, and also a plumbing nightmare!

But WHY? You could just get a higher boost SC and save your self all that trouble (and expense). The trick to hot rodding is making your power as cheaply as possible.

Nitrous is a good complement to supercharging though. It helps cool down the boosted air furhter. It is definitely adds new meaning to abnormally aspiratated.

You mean like this? These are what the engines are in our diesel powered buses. Roots type supercharger with a turbocharger sitting on top.

About 400 HP and around 900 TQ at 2100 rpm.

Not much gain as far as speed goes. I have a friend who has a bus engine in his truck and he says his top speed is low (like 80 mph), but with all that power, he can do 80 mph towing a yacht.

The thing probably redlines at like 3500 RPM. Diesel engines are great for building a towing machine.. but not good for a high performance car.

That thing is a huge V-6, and no you would not want it in a car!!

The pic is just to demonstrate how it could be mounted and plumbed.

Diesels are all about torque, not HP. That thing would tear your car in half.

And it redlines at 2100 rpm And a bus weighs 20 tons fully loaded.

The cylinders are so BIG in that bus engine that I've seen bums take up residence in them. It's amusing to watch when the driver starts the engine. LOL
