A courtesy bump on this

At the moment Lowes has Seafoam INSANE cheap at $8.00 REGULAR PRICE !!! No sales or promo gimmicks

My local Walmart has em at $7.50 !!!!!!!

My local autozone was cool and priced matched without having me to drive across town !! Also got some Delco PF454 filter's for $3 !!!

Re: Seafoam, good product but a word of caution

I used to buy Seafoam for $2.99 before everyone started using it. After that the price shot right up.

I recently bought a barn find car, actually a field find. The car needed either gas or starting fluid poured into the carb to get started and then ran like crap. You could smell the stinky varnished gas in the fuel system (or was that the mouse turds? ). I was just about to order a carb rebuild kit, when I decided to see what would happen if I Seafoamed it. It started running smoother almost instantaneously. I put a few gallons of fresh gas in and put some Seafoam in the gas tank. The difference was remarkable.

I'm guessing the gas in it was at least 1980's vintage. With today's gas, the carb will have to be taken apart and cleaned.

Probably 1996-ish.

Re: Seafoam, good product but a word of caution

Another SeaForm Success story:

I had a Tahoe with 250k on it and a sticking lifter.

4 times around with Seafoam and that engine was quiet as it ever has been.

I use it periodically in all my vehicles and the 89 Formula 350 I just bought last week is going on the program as we speak.

Seafoam is part of basic maintenance for all my vehicles (which are all old).

Re: Seafoam, good product but a word of caution

Blew carbon out the tailpipe for a week on the SeaFoam using it in the Formula.

It has stopped and the engine sounds smother and the gas pedal feels more responsive. I've had it in the oil for the same amount of time. Couple more days and I will change the oil again and see where I am at.

SeaFoam rocks it again.

did the hose that comes out of the driver side valve cover an goes in (air intake filter assembly) have heavy amount of oil residue being pushed through? An how did you diagnose the baffles?
