Air cleaner hoses?
Didnt know where to post this so please move it if its in the wrong category.
I bought a new air cleaner for my bird cause i think the stock one is ugly as .....
Now to my problem.
On the old intake there are 3 hoses connected.
One to the crankcase ventilation i think "this one is not the problem"
But what are the other two hoses to and where do i connect them on my new air cleaner?
They are located in the bottom of the old air cleaner. one goes to the carb and the other one i dont know.
But on the inside of the old air cleaner where the two hoses are connected it says ac.
What will i do with this hoses?
Excuse my bad english

Re: Air cleaner hoses?
I'm not 100% sure since I have a tuned port engine, but I'm sure you can just buy small breathers to put in place where the hoses are coming from similar to this
and on the valve cover
and on the valve cover

Re: Air cleaner hoses?
OK thx for the answer.
But what does the two hoses do?
They are very thin and small.
But will check for small filters.

Re: Air cleaner hoses?
The vacuum hoses are for the thermac system. The stock aircleaner is designed to plumb hot air off the exhaust manifold back into the engine for faster warm ups on cold days. Your new aircleaner has nothing of the sort, so just cap the nipple on the carb and call it good.

Re: Air cleaner hoses?
The autoparts stores here sell rubber caps you can put over the nipples for vacuum and coolant lines...

Re: Air cleaner hoses?
Or since the two lines coming off the bottom of the air cleaner can now be ignored or removed, just cut a one inch piece and stick in a screw or skinny bolt to plug and use that to cap off the nipple on the carb. Not as tidy, but requires no gas, time, or money.
