Re: Founder performance LCA and panhard bar review
Well I took everything out of the box and searched it completely but I think I am missing the adjustable piece of the panhard bar . The quality of the product looks really good but the only thing that is bothering me is that missing piece I will give them a call in the morning let me post the pics

Re: Founder performance LCA and panhard bar review
Looks like average aftermarket quality control to me, not a big deal just frustrating.
I shouldn't beat up on the aftermarket to hard though, happens to me all the time. One good example I had, ordered a Hyd pump drive from John Deere for a log skider, opened the box & found a painted green raw casting, no machine work done at all. It's amazing stuff like this happens to me quite allot-unfortunitly.

As bad as it is that something is missing, it is how they handle the error is what tells the most about a company.

Re: Founder performance LCA and panhard bar review
yup seriously. my buddy was looking at LCA's for his 4th gen. BMR or something. And I was like you can get LCA and the brackets for teh cost of just the LCA's. So that is what he went for. and they look and fit good. although they didnt come with torque specs for the bolts. no big deal.

im another founders supporter, got the LCARLB's, LCA's, Adj P/H bar and adj. Strut mounts. All are top notch quality and the owner is a nice, honest guy who will answer any questions you have, like, "are these restamped J&M/hotpart plates?" lol

I just used a synthetic grease and I just tightened everything without a torque reading, not telling you to do that just saying that's what I did. I was really impressed with there parts, great quality and a great price.

That's an interesting design on the lcarb's. I've never seen them like that before.

Re: Founder performance LCA and panhard bar review
Also, I'm looking at the Founder's website and comparing it to UMI and BMR. It looks like the Founders Relocation bracket is a good piece at half what everyone else is charging. But it seems to be missing those solid spacers that go in between where the bolts in the OEM LCA mounting point go to keep the OEM LCA mounting point from flexing when you tighten up the relocation bracket. Did it come with those or not? How did that affect the install? (Ie. Did your original OEM LCA location point bend in when you tightened up the bracket to the car?)

Re: Founder performance LCA and panhard bar review
Well i believe so cuz i couldnt push them more back cuz then the control arm wouldnt reach. I was looking threw their website and i saw a guy comment to remember to put silicon grease?

Re: Founder performance LCA and panhard bar review
You know, I'm really looking at that photo again. Did you install that relocation bracket upside down? I'm sure that there's no gap and that it should be flush against the OEM relocation bracket.

If i were to install the bracket upside down the spacer where the oem control arm would go would be loose and would be moving side to side

Re: Founder performance LCA and panhard bar review
I purchased and installed their spherical on car adjustable LCA and Panard with relocation brackets. All went together well. I did have one issue with the passenger side bracket the drill holes were a bit off. Actually, I would not be surprised at all if the car is off. I dremilled the h bit hole a bit to fit. About .020" so not a lot at all. Other than that all good. I really liked the quality. Above comment about the gap between the original mount and the bracket. That worried me a bit too. With this design a lot of the weight will be transferred to the front of the shock mount. The bracket reaches around tot he front. I do think the design would have been better to net out (no gap) on the back of that original mount area, but I bet they (and your car) would have to hold a much tighter tolerance. Anyway, absolute strength will have to go to full weld on brackets, but these are great for those of us that don't weld (at least weld well). I would still recommend. I only got to drive the car about 20 miles after installation last year, but with them in the car drove very tight. Much, much better from stock. My car has 2" lowering springs.

Brian Croutcher owns Founders.com, J&M Products & hotparts.com. And you are telling us that they are not the same parts?
URL ownership research will tell anyone that he owns the registration of all 3.
