Re: assault racing 200cc 64cc chamber heads ( dart copys)

I was going to run it with an Enderly alcohol injection setup I have & spray it, to many projects, a heart attack & oil field bottoming out =something had to go...so, I sold the car that it was going in, to enable me to keep my T/A

Well firstvtest drive was kinda of a fail, blew trans cooler line, but engine ran good part throttle.
Cam spec solid tappet 531/542 lift, duration at .05 is 248/251 lobe sep 106.
I did open the secondaries once, i never popped a woody so fast in my life.

Re: assault racing 200cc 64cc chamber heads ( dart copys)

I'm figuring that it's 1.5's, if I remember correctly. .. your springs are setup for. 600 lift , so you can safely run a 1.6 & put more air&fuel to it , besides, the head's flow a bit better at .600 you've got enough duration to spin that smaller cubic inches to the point that it'll be screaming GET OUTTA MY WAY BEEAATCH! LOL
You gonna make a video for use?

Re: assault racing 200cc 64cc chamber heads ( dart copys)

Ya mine is 1.5 rockers, engine is 404sbc 11.5-1comp. When i think about getting a solid roller, ill get lots more lift. Videos probably not phone sucks. Love to see the turbo builds though, i may go that way eventually.

sj4000 for 40-60 bucks on ebay
this is in 720hp instead of 1080hd and i only had like a class 2 sd card , theese cameras deffinatly need a class 10 card

the cheaper ones that look the same only do 720hd and are not the same camera
those are listed between 20and 35ish $'s , u want one that lists the 1080hd like the link below
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Professional-SJ4000-1-5-LCD-12-0MP-4X-Sport-Digital-Video-Camcorder-Black-/381245599164?hash=item58c4022dbc

That's badass! I'm an Ol 'school carburetor guy, I only knew of the go pro from people talking, video on YouTube, & didn't even notice any other cameras. Sorry, I wasn't trying to "spend your money ", just ran across a pretty good deal on a camera that ( it seems to be used by), everybody.
But, now that you have brought this sj4000 to my attention, I'll check them out. ... THANKS ☺

Cool, on both accounts! I have seen them again & again, but hadn't heard much about them until this thread. Between Chad's say so (SRH), & you guys with REAL WORLD PROOF ( not like some, lets just say... naysayers & b.s. artists ). The next time I need a set of head's. ... I'm buying these

its not that bad the delay is because my trans builder is out of town for about 2 weeks , he wont be back till sept 4th

my interneditate drum had a bad snap ring grove , had another one out of a th350c wwhich uses the same drum but different input shaft , when we went to swap the shafts the drum broke while we were pressing in the new shaft.

actually was out fualt as we didnt support the drum in the correct spot and blew the center out of it

buddy happened to have another drum on the shelf just gota wait for him to get back to assemble it

here u can see the broken drum and the one he pulled off the shelf , the one he pulled off the shelf has a bad input shaft

I dont know about SRH and assault racing heads.... Pretty sure he has a program for porting/building pro header. After talking with him he says they are the best "china" head out there. Other than that, pro-filer and dart castings are #1.

Yeah, I've got a set of dart pro1's ( bare ,blem's), that I'd like Chad to do, but I can't get a hold of him.
I'll probably end up just gasket matching & minor bowl work myself & running it that way. It won't be the baddest thing going. ... but at least it'll be going.

I'll probably end up just gasket matching & minor bowl work myself & running it that way. It won't be the baddest thing going. ... but at least it'll be going.
What size runners/chamber/valves ect.. I too have thought about doing that and going through them. I got mine assembled and the more I read about buying assembled heads, the more I fret.

Mine are 215 as cast runners, going with a set of Manley race flo valves 2.100"/1.600" + .200 long, with Isky gold stripe spring (solid roller ), DelWest Ti retainers.
They're going on a 409 ci sbc, it's a back-up engine for my TA

I got a lot on my plate since my heart attack, everything's changed.
I have a Dart little m block, 400 mains & will clean up at 4.165 (.040 over ), that I was going to put a set of RHS 14DEGREE head's on... but, think I'll just put the RHS iron 23* head's & CP pistons with Callies H beam rods (13-14:1 compression ), & the Enderly alcohol injection setup I have to top it off ... then sell it ( after dyno tuning ).
Need the $$$ to finish what I can, so hopefully I can drive the car & enjoy it.

Re: assault racing 200cc 64cc chamber heads ( dart copys)

project89,
Dont listen to the nay sayers . Im a machinist . I work with allot of different equipment. I make Hydraulic fittings and parts for a living for some of Sikorsky military helicopters . I purchased a set of these heads . To use on a 383 rebuild im doing . Im not looking to go fast , make tons of power. But because I can do my own machining it seemed like a better option.
I own a CNC shop . 4 axis CNC mill , knee mill CNC lathe ect. I have quite an extensive set up for measuring tolerances on parts I personally make. I plan to take my heads in my shop on my surface plate that is 6ftx6ftx1ft .0006 flat . I will see how well these heads are truly made.
I consider my self and educated person.
Back 30 years ago China was underdeveloped , under educated. Since the pacific trade agreement in 93 they have opened there doors to the west. With that came all of manufacturing plants and technics. Most of the biggest USA company's have moved there if not all have some type of manufacturing plant there. All of our beloved automobiles have plenty of Chinese parts .
Some of the most advanced CNC equipment comes right out of China . 99.99% of all the electronics for the machines I use come from China also.
China in 40 years will be the worlds biggest supper power surpassing the USA.
Yes you could still get junk from China , Ive have received junk all across the USA. Depends on whos plant they come from with what quality control program the have.
China isnt an underdeveloped country that every one makes it out t be . Every machine shop I ever have been in uses Chinese equipment in some way or form.

6x6x1 surface plate eh? That had to cost as much as that mill eh? You make fittings or bend lines/tubing. I am a hydraulic specialist myself so Im just curious.

The plate new was 8800 , mill was approaching 6k. I paid 80$ (eighty) from a auction @ IBM. Just had a recent inspection. No one wanted to move it . It weighs over 2 tons not counting the stand.
I dont work for myself . At work we use Doosan hp 5500 , thats the shops big dog . Its a 4 axis horizontal with a 5th axis add on. I use solidworks with solidcam to do there programming. Besides that we have your normal robo mills , turning and milling center. There is ruffly 20 CNCs were I work.
Im my home shop I have a 4 axis mill , 3 axis knee mill and 2 axis lathe. Thats where my Roc of ages AA surface plate resides right now.
We do plenty of hydraulic fittings but other stuff also . We just did a 5 axis part that was a fuel cut off if an air crafts lands ruff or crashes two floats flip around and stop fuel flow. You may be dead but your company is invoroment friendly.
Im in no way shape or form hydraulic specialist . I honestly know little about it. Im good with dimensions numbers but I shine in cad cam work. I make nice fittings to your specs.
Work for the most part is very boring . I love sitting in my home shop . Here is an old pic of the plate , a scooter centrifugal clutch Ive made rotor attachment and engraving.

Thats awesome! Yeah, I figured that plate was HEAVY!

I hear ya, I contemplate all the time of starting something out of my garage, instead of not my garage.

Solid works is a great program. I am learning it now. I have some experience with auto cad as well. Can make/design what ever you want!

Here is what I did with the ProHeader casting. I put my Dart/RHS program in the core! Same program as Justin's 1000+ SBC, my 725-750hp engines, and my New Zealand iron headed 715hp 406's..

You can see in the photo it's not a direct copy of a Dart. Look at the spark plug location vs the CNC program.
