According to the writing on the lights, I have them installed correctly and I'm not blinding oncoming traffic on low. They put out enough light on low that I don't need to have the inside lights on low, nor do I wish to butcher up the wiring to try. I am not good with electrical components.

I thought the "NO LOAD RESISTORS" were to trick the flashing system into thinking it still had a light vs led so it would flash? That would also defeat the purpose of low power consuming LEDs... for every 12 watt's you stop using, you free up 1 amp...
I got all LED's for the car... and electronic (not mechanical) flashers...
Pics and info here... Got most installed, finishing up this weekend...

NO LOAD RESISTORS aren't related to the flashers. That is different. Some vehicles need them in order to run HID and LED headlights that were not factory equipment. My 2005 Jeep Wrangler can run Trucklite LEDs without them. The 2007+Wranglers need them in order to run LED headlights or they flicker.
When I swapped the tail lights on my Wrangler to LED, I had to change out the flasher so it wouldn't rapid flash.

Chris, I don't think you need those for the ThirdGens... I think it's the newer cars with more advanced electronics... and as long as the new lights don't draw more power than stock, not even a relay....

Do not buy this kit or these type projector headlight from Xtralights.
They do not fit 4x6 housing with out cutting out the back half of the housing and the bulb shields. Defiantly not plug and play. Tried to get out cheap and I got what I paid for!
Camaro Projector Headlights Black (pair) + HID Xenon Lights Kit Package
82-91 Chevy Camaro Projector Headlights Black (pair) + 55W Super HID Xenon Lights Kit Package
Item No: LX10247
Manufacturer No: LHP-4X6JM-HID

Test drive tonight... taking a 2 hour trip in the car tomorrow early...
I hadn't driven the car on the road yet with the new lights...
I amied them up a tad more and great results... they lighten the road very evenly, no hot spots... much better than the HID's in my daily driver...
Not sure if anyone else has this issue, I have 3k to 4k HID's and when the road is wet after a rain, it barely seems that they are even on, light bouncing / refracting on the wet surface???... Not sure if these LED's will do the same... but for now, I'm very happy...

That's because your using hid and halogen designed housing hid meant to be used with a quality projected housing if your retrofit and make a true hid light set up you get lightening compared to new hid light systems
Hid into regular housing is just a waste

This thread made me look at what ebay now has and I found these: https://www.ebay.com/itm/Pair-Black-...YAAOSwd7Rc~u8n
They are CREEs and only 1.2" deep, so no cutting of the buckets should be required. I plan to use these on my 84 TransAm.
Thoughts from other members please.

They're testing 7" round headlights, but whether 7" round, 4x6 rectangular or 5x7/7x6 rectangular, the same type of design in different sizes will perform similarly to each other, so just because you're not seeing a 5x7/7x6 tested here, it would perform like the similar-style 7" round version being tested. Their first reviews are of four different 7" round versions that are similar to the style you're considering, so you should get a good idea of how those ebay headlights will perform.
Gun lovers will enjoy this video, too, because it, literally, is a shootout. Headlight Revolution is in northern Minnesota, and they go out into the snow and shoot the poor headlights.
People should go through HR's videos, so many that you could spend days watching them. Chris does like to talk lol, but he's a great guy, and people can learn a lot, as the videos are informative and thorough. In addition to product testing, including all of the new types of LED replacement-style headlights(similar to those in this thread), there are informational videos explaining HID, color temperature and brightness.
Regarding the product in this thread, when I created this thread 5 years ago, these types of LED replacement-style headlight products were relatively new. They performed well, but they didn't have long lifespans, so I have to withdraw my support of them, at least for this early type, and I don't use them anymore. Besides that, technologies for these have developed and progressed so much throughout the last few years, that nobody is likely to be able to find these anymore anyway. Today's similar LED replacement-style are much, much better. That said, for Firebirds, sealed LED headlights are likely to be the better way to go, especially when it comes to fitment.

Thanks. I will watch that video.
I watched it. 8 minutes in they reviewed the ones I was looking at on ebay. NO GOOD.
Thanks, you saved me from wasting my time & money - the 2 things I hate wasting the most!
