Speedmaster sbc 2pc aluminum timig cover

Hi,
do you have experience to speedmaster 2 pc aluminum timing cover(PCE265.1039)?
I ordered Edelbrock 4242 timing cover(made in India),but bottom part seems somewhat flimsy(steel plate).Speedmaster cover seems to be more rigid(by picture)
This goes to -880 roller block &cloyes double roller timing set.

I used this same cover on my motor. The quality is actually pretty good. Thick flange where it bolts to the block.

The quality control on the other hand...

The first one I had to send back because when they welded the seal ring onto the top cover they did it cockeyed and the top cover was bowed as a result.

thats a nice looking cover , wish i bought one as i had 2 cams go flat in my motor would made swaping them out damn easy

i have a pseedmaster hsr on my motor quality was good with the exception of minor fuel rail mounting hole misaglinment , but that was easily remidied by drilling out the holes one size up , and i cant blame the intake it could have been just the procomp fuel rails themselves that were off

Is there sealing ring at bottom part and cover plate? Also does double roller fit with it?

Edit:After installing this to -880 block, fits nice with Cloyes double roller timing set, does not include any gaskets, crank seal or timing tab.Otherwise much better part than previous edelbrock piece(4242)

Thx for the info, so you made your own gasket for the outer cover to be clear?

Re: Speedmaster sbc 2pc aluminum timig cover

I thought thst 2 piece vs 1 piece only matters on the rear seal. What's the difference on the front?

That is for the crank seal, totally diff subject. This is just to make cam swaps easier and not needed but nice to have.
