Holley sniper efi

Just recently installed a new lunati cam and afr 1040 heads and the new sniper efi system. I found it on sale in February for $799 so I had to buy it. I broke in the new cam with my eddy 650 avs carb. The install was very simple especially when I already had a walbro intank fuel pump. The only confusing part of the wiring was the nitrous wiring. Had to call holley support, even they were confused on it. So today was the first day I took the car out for its initial self tune. The car ran great except for this annoying header leak I have. I had to cut the drive short, I remembered I didn't fill the transmission all the way up. It only had 6 quarts in her after I replaced the tourque converter. Maybe next weekend I'll take it back out for the power pull tune part. I'm very happy with the sniper system.

The AFR heads polish up very easily, take a drill mounted polishing wheel and spend a few minutes on them next time the front accessories are off. You'll love em even more. You could also look into the mid-mount for the alternator.

How do you like the Sniper EFI since the install?
Which walbro pump are you using?

It’s the 255 walbro can’t remember the part number, I installed it years ago. I haven’t driven the car since I made that last post. So I can’t really answer your question. That is why I’m selling the car, I just don’t use it at all.

Ok thanks, I wasnt sure if you used the 255 or a 340 version. Im not sure the 255 flow rate is enough.
I am planning on doing the Sniper EFI swap myself in the next few months.

Re: Holley sniper efi

It should be enough I had to put a efi regulator on it to get the pressure down below 60psi. The sniper has a built in regulator also. But I’m also running a nitrous setup off that 3 port regulator.

Are you running a return style setup or dead head setup?

Re: Holley sniper efi

Just curious, where did you find the Sniper system on sale for $799?

Re: Holley sniper efi

I found it on Autoplicity.com when they were running a 20% site wide sale.
