Re: FAST Multi-Port Retro-Fit EZ-EFIŽ Kit
Correct, no spark control.
We put one on my sons 350 in a 2nd gen Camaro. It was a long block 350 HO crate engine with Vortec Air-gap intake and Demon carb. We constantly battled an off-idle stumble. Had a good HEI with MSD box already, so we found a GM Ramjet FI intake complete at a swap meet and decided to try it. We had two problems initially with a sensor and fuel pressure but both were self-inflicted. FAST support helped with troubleshooting and its been fine ever since. Its probably been on the car 4-5 years now. It was a DD for a while but now is AX'd quite regular.
Its been a set it and forget system for us.
There are certainly other methods and brands out there, but it made sense in our case since we had all new ignition equipment in good working order.

Re: FAST Multi-Port Retro-Fit EZ-EFIŽ Kit
I have the first inception of the EZ and have had it for almost as long as its been avail. im running the retro kit pn 302000. the first engine i had it on things didnt run right but it was due to the engine, not the FAST system. i had too much compression and couldnt throw any timing at it so the system fought itself trying to make things right with what it had to use.
Fast forward to this March to the 383 i built. im running an RHS 12903 intake, 14000 DUI Performance distributors narro cap divorced coil dizzy, FAST 307603 billet air only TB with the same kit and other than the combing things out upon first fire up my system runs killer.
another nice thin about my system is it allowed me to totally remove the factory ECM harness from my car and clean things up a bit. everything still works as it should (cruz, tach, cluster) but being im running a T-56 I ha to buy a SGI-5 box to allow the buffer to read the signal.
the 2.0 systems have spark control and if you are looking for that you will need a 30404-kit and the 305005 matching distributor. the 30404 has all newer style plugs but FAST sells adapter plugs to fit the older style TPI style plugs.
if you plan on doing this i highly recommend you get a factory HELM manual as it has the correct color codes for your car. the HAYES book will do nothing but frustrate you. when you are ready i can gladly help you head the right direction.
i have no idea why the pic is sideways, i double checked and its straight everywhere else.

If you go with the 302000 what do you use for spark control? Would you have to get like an MSD system or similar and just do away with the ECM all together? I have the digital dash. Would that affect it? I already have the Dakota Digital box wired up for my speedo.

Re: FAST Multi-Port Retro-Fit EZ-EFIŽ Kit
as mentioned above i used a DUI narrow cap distributor with a divorced coil. if you want the FAST system to control timing get the 30404-kit and the 305005 distributor. the 305005 plugs right into the system.
as for the dig dash, i would "think" it wouldnt affect anything.
