Ebay shroud and fan setup for Champion Radiators

Wanted to upgrade to a dual electric fan setup and since I have a Champion radiator I wanted to see if anyone carried a direct fit shroud and fan setup. Many companies carry this setup on ebay and with a recent discount I figured I'd give it a shot.

This is part of the ad with fan specifics

Received everything and checking fit and fitment

Everything starts to check out until I want to double check the PN# of the fan boxes and needless to say thats when everything started to go south

These come up as TSP 12" fans only rated for 870cfm ea

So disgusted by a false ebay ad I never tried to see if the shroud even fit the radiator, I'm in the process of returning everything

I would give them a try anyway. I have discovered the CFM ratings on electric fans is very subjective. It seems everyone just guesses at what they probably put out. You aren't going to get real high CFM off an "S", or curved blade fan. If you want higher CFM you should probably go with a straight blade fan (but they use more amps). I think pretty much any aftermarket 12" curved blade fan is going to put out a similar CFM, so mount these up and give them a go. That's a nice clean looking shroud and fan setup and I bet those dual 12" fans will work good and $139 for that setup seems like a good price to me. If you do send them back and still want dual fans, I highly recommend this:

I also have two 10" fans from TSP mounted in front of my condenser. I have no complaints about them and they seem to move a lot of air.

Going to buy a set of 12" spal fans and probably just put them right on the radiator

Re: Ebay shroud and fan setup for Champion Radiators

Buy a couple of derale fans or other brands from Summit or where ever and a sheet of aluminum measure and cut you can position the fans where you want and cut the shroud. Easy and you save $$$$$$$$$ The aluminum only needs to be as wide as the core plus two inches the top and bottom long enough to fold over the top of the radiator and bottom plus an inch on each end . Fold an inch on each side in 90 degrees fold the top and bottom over 90 to fit over the radiator you may have to notch for the trans cooler lines if you have fittings in the radiator bottom. Position your fans where you want them and mark and cut out the area swept by the blades. You can use the factory relay to run the fans or buy a kit from the local auto parts store or sometimes the manufacturer will include a relay and temp sensor kit with the fans or as an option. You slit a piece of vac hose with a razor blade to use as an edge seal.
