Roof Rail weatherstripping

Hello, I ordered a set of (not T-Top) for my 84 TA. Once I checked the parts I received, I noticed a joint that appears open where the rubber didn't fuse all the way. the driver side seal which appears fused completely, the joint is open on passenger side view mirror end of the window. does anyone know if this is proper or a defect? The vendor stated they are doing a check on their end. Many than

UPDATE: The vendor 1AAuto stood by their product and sent me a new weatherseal set. All well that ends well.

I hade issues of all joints coming apart on mine. The ones that were together, eventually came apart too
