Yeah it definitely didn’t hurt the surface texture by any means, and I work with aluminum, and have played around with different media’s and made different color finishes with various media and pressure in blast cabinets. I’ll do my best to get the finish back as close as I can.

Re: T-RAM OWNERS
I am usually satisfied with a nice blasted finish on sand cast aluminum. That being said, now that I have seen it, I prefer the look of the vapor blasted parts. I am thinking about making my own vapor blasting cabinet to supplement my media processing. It is a finer finish on aluminum, and it can be used on die cast without that flat finish.

No, it's an abrasive media suspended in water. It is the same as "dustless blasting", just a different name
Yes! Exactly. The mass of the water helps strip the surface without building heat or using the abrasive as much. It leaves very nice finish.
I think I looked at some of this guys stuff. https://www.restocycle.com/vapor-blasting-faq

Yeah I have a pressure cabinet we run water and AD glass in. The water also acts as a shock absorber for the media. You’re right it does put out a very nice finish, you can get the same finish with a fresh media with AC or better grade ballotini beads with a pressure fed cabinet at 30psi rather than a siphon cabinet at around 80psi.

Re: T-RAM OWNERS
I have a good line on getting T-ram intake gaskets done now. A corrected base sample will be sent this week.
Using Armstrong .062” N8092 Material for both parts a "set" is around 25-30 ea. (I'm guessing somewhere in the middle)
A "set" is 6 parts (4 base and 2 plenum/side tank) Numbers are based on 50 sets.
If the material or thickness is incorrect, please feel free to post info or pictures of original gaskets.
As you can see, cost is up there when you figure that many at a time.
The big question, is anyone still interested ?
Hopefully have something in the next couple of weeks.

Re: T-RAM OWNERS
Hello everyone,
A couple months ago, I purchased the 1990 T-Ram Formula "Blackhawk" from Chris (PurelyPMD). I'm a spare parts kinda guy, and having something that doesn't have parts available annoys me. In a quest to insure I have spare parts for my T-Ram, I have sent the aluminum cam off to it 3D modeled. Since it doesn't make much sense to go through all this trouble and expense to reproduce just one part, I plan on doing a small run to make it available to others that would like to have it as a spare, or those missing it from thier T-Ram. I need some opinions on how to move forward after the 3D model is finished. Should this part be reproduced exactly, or have a few improvements made while we're in it this far? We could make some improvements such as delrin bushings on the faces and bore for smother rotation, no more metal to metal contact. Have them anodized? 3D printing is an option, but they would require some machining. Seems CNC milling is going to be the best route. I'm open to opinions and suggestions, let me hear your thoughts.
Thanks, David

Re: T-RAM OWNERS
BTW, Ryan Falconer - http://www.falconerengines.com/main.php manufactured the T-Ram for SLP. Im not sure who designed it, but I would put money on Falconerengineering. They are still in buisiness, I would love to see GM hightech interview Ed Hamburger and Ryan Falconer and provide clarification on who did what on the T-Ram.
I wondered about the manufacturing. My T-Ram has basting marks "B B" which I have yet to confirm to a manufacturer.

Tony - you know I am in for a couple of sets of gaskets. I think the AZ collector will buy several as well.

Re: T-RAM OWNERS
I should have my last gasket samples back on Monday or tues. Of course the pricing has gone up a bit from last year but I'm pretty excited to be about done with them! I actually shipped them a intake setup so they could get them 100% spot on.
Last samples are in.

Re: T-RAM OWNERS
I now have a few of the shipping boxes in so If anyone needs gaskets, let me know.
30$ a set plus shipping which is coming in around 20$ give or take.
A set includes 2 side tank gaskets and 4 upper lower intake gaskets. I'll try and get a nice picture of a set put up here soon.

Re: T-RAM OWNERS
A quick note about the 2 vs 4 center gaskets.
A set is 6 pieces, pictures show front/rear view and material. They are spec at .062 thick but are coming in around .063-.064. Shouldn't be a issue.
The extra set of upper lower gaskets are for different length injs same as SLP did it.
PM me with your shipping info and quantity so I can get a shipping quote and well go from there.
Thanks, Tony
