WHAT HOLLEY SNIPER EFI
I have an 89 camaro that currently is a 5.7 tpi. I am having a 383 stroker motor built for me and mad dog transmission on the way. I am thinking of going with the Holley efi sniper kit. Can someone tell me which kit to go with? I dont need the kit that comes with the fuel pump since my car was a tpi and fuel pump works great.
thanks

I'd call Holley and explain exactly what you're doing. I went with the HP EFI, and called them multiple times before actually purchasing. Once you purchase, jump on the Holley forums with any questions. The tech help online and on the phone is awesome!

I plan on getting a sniper on next years engine purchase
not sure what you mean by "which kit to go with". do you mean color wise or holley sniper vs super sniper? fuel system included?
also, TlyerSteez .. I could be wrong, but I think the stock pump produces enough PSI to feed the system and is then regulated Down to 44 psi by the stock GM fuel pressure regulator on a TPI setup. but the problem he might have is that his stock fuel pump might not flow enough liters-per-minute to keep up with his engine's fuel demand. maybe I'm wrong on the PSI though.
I went with a 340lph racetronic pump like this: https://www.racetronix.biz/product.asp?ic=rxp342 (not that exact one, but one like it). About $90....or you can buy the 100 pack of them for $6,900 !!

There are various power levels that the Sniper kits offer. I just got a sweet deal on a master kit with the 650 HP kit.
I have the HP efi kit on another car, it is amazing but it is alot more involved the the sniper kit and ALOT more expensive.

Re: WHAT HOLLEY SNIPER EFI
right,
but what PUMP are you running. if its a factory or factory equivalent replacement, you probably wont have enough pump to support the sniper and 383 setup

Gunreaper, I want to clarify, that you can't both keep your TPI intake and use the Holley Sniper EFI. The Holley Sniper EFI is a throttle-body ONLY EFI system for using with a traditional dual plane or single plane intake.
If you want to use your TPI intake with a new 383, you'll need to step up to the Holley HP. The Holley HP 550-601 kit is made to work with TPI intakes and the Stealth Ram intakes.
If you already knew this, disregard, but I wanted to make sure that part was clear.
If you like the TPI torque, but don't want to choke a new 383 with good heads, look at the FIRST Fuel Injection intake and the Holley 550-601 kit. -This is what I've gone with for my build and I've added their 60-2/58x crank trigger wheel, the Coil On Plug harness, LS Truck Coils form Ebay, and a Vortec Cam sensor for doing sequential multiport.
-I'd love to see someone hack an LS ECM to control a FIRST intake + Holley 58x crank trigger setup- the cam sensor would be the tricky part.

Re: WHAT HOLLEY SNIPER EFI
No I'm not keeping the tpi intake. I already bought the holley efi sniper intake, holleys distributor, and upgraded my fuel pump already. Waiting on the motor to arrive in another week! So pumped!

-What's the model # of your intake? I'd love to checked it out now that it's a real product.
