GM Nationals in Carlisle PA

I was wondering who all would be going to the GM Nationals and Camaro show in Carlisle PA on June 14th- 16th. Was also wondering what your plans were gonna be.

I am definitely going but trying to figure out the details. I wanted to go up Friday night but I have to go to step-brothers graduation at the Capital Center I believe it is. So driving up late might not be a good idea. So would anyone want to meet up somewhere on Saturday morning to ride up? Or maybe we can all just meet up there at the show somehow.

As you can see my plan is oh so well thought out. lol j/k Just wondering... It would be cool to have a lot of TGOers there.

I plan on going on Sat. leaving early that morning. I wanted to enter into the non-judged category, but I would have to leave at like 5am. Plus it's going to cost some money which I don't really have right now. I got driving directions, doesn't seem that hard or far though. 157 miles from my house.

My wife and I will be going friday-sat. Beware if you do not have a motel room you will not find one. You will drive an extra 35-45 miles away to find a room. We always book rooms for Carlisle shows months ahead. They are great shows.

I didnt think that far in advance. I would like to have gotten a room. One guy said he lived real close. I told he had to put like 20 or so TGOers. He said sure... lol Cant remember his screenname. Too bad he couldnt. he would have the coolest driveway in the world.

I can picture a import riding past his house and getting very scared... lol

That's probably me you were thinking of Twistopher. I had actually considered having a little get together here saturday like early evening sometime. The parents didn't object, but that weekend will be really hectic for me. Who all would be interested and what would you wanna do? I really would love to have about 15 or so third gens sitting in the driveway, just not sure if I'll have the time.

Funny you mention that, becuase I've been thinking about taking the louvers off and instead tinting my windows, for a more "clean" look. As for the rims, I had them refinished and repainted! Thanks for the compliment!

I went to Carlisle last year and stayed at the Hampton Inn. I had no reservations and just walked in. Granted, it wasn't a $35 a nite motel, but when the wife and son go, you need to stay in a decent place. I was eating dinner at Bob Evans (just off the interstate) and noticed a large gathering of Camaros at the motel next door. Everyone was just hanging out in the parking lots.

Hate to report this, but there is a good chance of scattered thunderstorms on Sat.

Hope it doesn't ruin the day.

Yeah it's been ugly all day today. I think it is supposed to be a little nicer tomarrow, but I'm not really sure because I just got back from a week at the beach.

Twistopher-If you get this (because I don't know when you are coming up), a motel somewhere like scott said is probably the best place to meet up. The ricers usually hang out at the Giant in town on Friday and Saturday nights which is too bad because that would be a good place. Actually now that I think about it there are a couple of malls we could meet up at. They are both basically in town.

Remember last year, 100+ degrees all three days down on the field. And then the show people pour tar on the drives to keep the dust down and it went all over everyone's car. What a mess

Cool Mark, sounds good. I'm heading in around 7 or so tomarrow morning. My car won't be on the show field but I'll be looking for all the third gens that are. I think you had mentioned sometime about puting your car in, are you still doing that? If so I'll look for you.
