It's easy to find a good driving position and for daily driving the torque make it was to drive. Honestly not bad but nothig like my '85 Park Avenue for space, ride, and comfort.

I definitely agree that these cars are perfect for cruising. just reclined back, nice and low, looking over the big hood, perfect. i'm 6'3'' and don't have an issue with legroom or headroom

Owning a 3rd gen 'bird, a '99 Z, and a '10 vette....
The bird is a blast - I've owned it nearly 10 years and have no plans of selling... but the Vette is much more comfortable to drive than either of the F-bodies. Past that, the leather seats in the Z are more comfortable and fit better than the birds cloth.
The Vette's seats are better, the ride is better, and you have the side benefit of being much much faster.
Keep in mind, I don't have the adjustable leather option in the bird, so that may make a bit of a difference...
I do have to say, though, that I can't imagine anyone not enjoying driving an F-body across the country. The ride position is great and the cabin space is fantastic (the vette doesn't have quite as much room to move around or change foot positions). In other words, on a several day trip, I may be inclined to take the bird or the camaro before the vette... but on a trip for a few hours, it's the vette every time!

Nothing i like more than taking out the t tops and going cruisin'! LOVE it!!!! ....but with regard to comfort? LOL. Not so much. Ok, sure, it's an opinion, and there's no right answer, but a lot of people here on TGO, (who are thirdgen biasd) think they're comfortable. Fair enough. But the rest of the WORLD thinks they're pretty uncomfortable!!!!!
....and with regard to age...when I was 17, I could sleep on a board and be comfortable! Age adds experience, AND your body starts aching and hurting a lot more! ....but thankful you don't know this yet!!!!!!!!! Trust me!

I'm 6'4" and I completely agree. My 82' Z28 has waaaay more leg room then any other car I have driven, and the seats in it are the most comfortable of any I have sat in, even when laid back a little.

Re: Extremely comfortable cars...who woulda guessed?
I love the seats in my 91. They hold you in place and have a nice contour to them. I've found them to be very comfortable on long drives, and around town.
On the other hand the bench in my S10 was terrible, and the buckets in my Bronco II aren't good for more than a half hour, mostly because the inflatable lumbar has a hole in it, but still...

Re: Extremely comfortable cars...who woulda guessed?
I think my car is comfortable, but I don't like that I have to keep my legs bent the entire time even with the seat back all the way. On long highway trips where I can't just turn on cruise control my right leg gets really tired of constantly being bent as I hold my leg up off the pedal. It's not so bad if I am doing a stop and go type of thing, because with the brakes I get to let my foot relax.
I'm only 5'11" too, so I'm not that tall for a male. I guess these cars just weren't made for guys like me.
