probly not. they tear really easily especially since theyre 20+ years old. it would be smarter to just buy a new one honestly..

I don't think there's anything you can do for it, but I'm not sure...it's not the type of thing you can run even a light brush against, I wouldn't think.

thats exactly what mine did. i ended up just leaving mine off.

replaced mine with EZCool insulation from www.lobucrod.com

has held up very nicely and looks great

Best thing to do is just remove it. It will make your engine look nicer overall.
