I've said it before, and I'll say it again--this car is simply stunning the way it is set up with those stock wheels. These wheels are always overshadowed by the IROCs, so I think sometimes people forget just how good they look, even if they are just 7" wide.

I've never been a fan of prostreet cars, but yours is the exception because it isn't tubbed and retarded. Your car just looks good.

(but lol @ the mudflaps with the blower)

Indeed it can be, and will be. Unfortunately my ground control set up it bottomed out, so I'm going to need to get shorter springs. This car is also going to see competitive autocross this year so there's a whole lot of parts that I still need to save up for.

Ground control weight jacks with SSS 800lb front, 200 lb rear springs. KYB adjustable struts and shocks, bull dog double adjustable rod ended pan hard bar. 36/24 sway bars with poly endlinks. I'm trying to get it set up before march, and I still need: 900/250 springs (and shorter), LCARBS, Koni yellows, extended ball joints, solid strut mounts, subframe connectors, strut tower brace, relocate both sides of the panhard brace, offset a-arm bushings, jeep steering shaft, bump steer kit. And I'll just use that as a starting point.

Re: Slammed Third Gens - Post Pics

Mine before my build....might not be considered "slammed" per se, but it's one of the lowest in my area. Tokico 1 3/4" drop springs and Tokico blue shocks on 18" Ruff 278 wheels. I have a very good feeling it will sit even lower now from the added weight of the turbo parts/intercooler on the front end.

Re: Slammed Third Gens - Post Pics

to the people posting pics of "slammed" cars. if you can see a gap between the tires and fenders, your cars not slammed. if you buy a lowering kit, your car is lowered. slammed cars are usually people who install air bags to get that slammed ride height. my car is lowered 2" all around and its not slammed, but after the adjustable suspension is done it should be. i car usually isnt drivable when slammed, and if it is it will be a nightmare to drive. this is only my opinion. please dont get offended.

Re: Slammed Third Gens - Post Pics

Slammed is a pretty generic term if you ask me. Obviously some of the cars that have a few inches between the tire and fender are not "slammed" but for a road driven car, I'd consider around an inch gap to be pretty damn low for a street driver! Plus, airbags and all that just are not very practical for the majority of people, and I for one think it's kind of a waste to go through all that trouble and custom work just for a "look" that will not do much for actual handling improvements. With that said, I always considered slammed to be pretty low, but still driveable for the most part...as in not tucking half your wheel into the fender.

agreed. im going with all umi chassis/ suspension parts and i have 2" springs. the car sits really low now and the springs havent settled yet. i might switch springs after because with my custom front bumper and side skirts that im making. the kit im making adds 3/4-1" from the factory parts. my car will be lowered for function, not for looks.

Back in the day they werent, my setup out handled the dozens of different combos of springs and what not i had ran on that car over the years before the bags. I wouldn't hesitate to spend that money again!

Re: Slammed Third Gens - Post Pics

i only rolled my fenders because of the rims i have now. im getting out of my 17's because there not what i want anymore and i dont want to use the 2" adapters needed to use them. i want to run 8" wide fronts and 11" wide rears. maybe a 15" rim.

Re: Slammed Third Gens - Post Pics

I tweaked a few things and managed to get my car lower. I'm now tucking tire front and rear ever so slightly.

Please excuse the dirtiness. I haven't washed her in almost 2 weeks.
