Anyone see this commercial yet? It has a bike shop with a Vintage 79 Redline Proline in the first scene (I collect these type bikes), then goes to a Moped with lightning bolt, then to the 87 IROC with 79 T/A next to it. Guy asked - "is it fast", salesmen says "I don't even think it's street legal"... pretty funny but these are good for us to get people to remember these cars!

iroc with rs hood? and i had a redline proline, sold it for dirt cheap long time ago, then i found an old puegot bike brand new, cant let that one go. the craftsmanship is remarkable

That car is a mess. It's an 88 Sport Coupe with the IROC-Z rims and license plate surround. Look at the rear and you won't see the spoiler wings on the rear quarter panel. I do agree, though, that a car lot selling cars like what you see in the pics, makes you wonder if it is legal to drive some of them on the street!

but to the untrained eye, no one would notice these differences like we do, the only reason i knew the car was in the commercial was my girlfriends mom said the 87 was sharp, after i looked up and saw it i started laughing, you never see thirdgens in commercials anymore

I've seen this commercial several time mostly during football.

Although the windshield appears to say '87, it seems to resemble an '85 1C5 California IROC-Z transplanted to another state, with the fog lamps ripped out.

Well guys, I have never seen a Palm tree in Massachusetts. There are palm trees in the scene with the scooter and at the car dealership. It was filmed in CA regardless of what plates the prop department put on the cars.

Look closely and you will see the Palm trees.

Everyone whining about the condition of the car... I dont see it. The paint's a little faded. Looks a LOT like a California IROC, and if it werent for the super hazy amber lights, and faded paint it'd be a very nice looking car.

I'd think it was just an RS except for the fact that it's missing its spoiler... like a Cali IROC. A bit easier to remove fog lights than remove/delete a spoiler. Also a bit stranger for someone to remove the spoiler than remove the fog lights in my opinion.

Pretty sweet seeing thirdgens on tv still. I feel like if we keep our cars alive long enough they may pay us back in return when were too old to drive and need to pay medical bills lol but really this car was made for 10 years! and parts interchange through a huge time period I think im going to buy another one to daily drive.

I haven't heard of Skyway in years, I had Skyway mags on my Hutch. The '80's
